View Full Version : How Many of You Spray Your Letters?
Dre's Lady 08-21-2004, 06:35 AM Spray your letters before sealing the envelope?
I do that all the time. My man loves that. He "claims" that the scent stays in his cell for days.
:)
HotLatinaMILF4U 08-21-2004, 08:01 AM I perfume every card and letter I send. One time I was in a big hurry to get my letter to the mailbox before last pick up and didn't scent it. I got a letter back from my man, what you don't love me no more??? LOL I try never to forget now...
I love him,
Patty
onlysweetieme 08-21-2004, 09:15 AM The first time I sprayed a letter I got one back saying how wonderful that smell was and that he puts my letters at the head of his bed so he can smell it when he goes to sleep and it is the first thing he smells when he gets up in the morning.
jftazzy102 08-21-2004, 09:59 AM I also spray my letters and Herb does the same thing that Cammie's man does. It is his security. Just like his tshirts are mine. Jeanne
rays_babygirl 08-21-2004, 12:11 PM I spray my letters sometimes. He said that he likes it but it is sometimes hard to smell my scent and me not be there with him.
amberology 08-21-2004, 12:34 PM He asked me to spray them before he went in and I have except for once..and I felt horrible for not doing it then! He loves it though.
Here4you4ever 08-21-2004, 01:19 PM I spray a large piece of paper and he puts it up in the air vent so the scent filters all over the cell when the a/c clicks on! :-)
ShannonL 08-21-2004, 02:06 PM oh, that's a good idea, Here4you!
I always spray mine. Brant always notices and comments when I don't. He says he knows he got mail as soon as they bring it in because he can smell it already. :)
I wish i had the same luxury to smell him. Can they mail things out? Like his t-shirt or something?
Tulip 08-21-2004, 02:31 PM Yep, I do!
mzpeachez 08-21-2004, 02:52 PM I didnt know we could! But I will do that, like NOW! Yawl just made my baby's day! lol
I spray all of mine (front and back of every page) :D and I spray the envelope too. The only time I DON'T spray them...is when I write him from work...and that's because I don't have my spray with me then...so, he gets a letter smelling like chicken...LOL. I think I'll start puttin' a bottle of body spray in my bag...that way I can spray them then too...cause he loves it. :D
huggs,
Selena
1sassysistah 08-21-2004, 03:52 PM I have this one scent that is his favorite so I make sure I have an abudant stock of it. I spray all his letters and cards. I have fun doing it and he just loves it!!
babygirl502 08-21-2004, 05:40 PM :) I'm about to go spray the letter I'm working on right now, hummm, never really done this before, how dumb of me :( He's gonna love it!!! Thanks Girls!!!
Jen661 08-21-2004, 05:47 PM I Do! I Do! My man says he will get "whifs" of me through out the day! I bought a whole bunch of bottles of my scent and keep them handy so a little peice of me goes with every letter! The things we do for our man! :) :) :)
LuvmyOz 08-21-2004, 06:00 PM I've tried spraying the actual card or letter, but it stains. What perfumes do all of you use?
Thanks!
:) I'm about to go spray the letter I'm working on right now, hummm, never really done this before, how dumb of me :( He's gonna love it!!! Thanks Girls!!!
mzpeachez 08-21-2004, 11:36 PM Luvmyoz, try fragrances that are clear, versus "yellowish" looking perfumes....
e_wife03 08-21-2004, 11:43 PM Yeah i do all the time and the letters that i write from our daughter i put some of her scented soap on it or scented lotion.. and he always says that when he smells them it makes him think of our visits and him holding her while she sleeps.... Hey you guys may think that i am crazy for this but i have even put strands of my hair in this letters before..
dazzler 08-21-2004, 11:54 PM Yep - me, too. I spray them with his favorite perfume and he not only gets a whiff of me but he uses them for air fresheners in his room. And also I believe I was a shoe freshener once. LOL He also buys imitation Polo and CK and sprays my letters too. So not only are the envelopes covered in hearts and flowers but they smell like him too. We won't talk about what else he would like me to scent them with. LOL.
NYYankee 08-22-2004, 05:27 AM A friend of mine sent a different perfume scented letter for all of her perfume and them let her man pick which one he liked best.
Can you imagine what the mail room must smell like?
Nuro's Wife 08-22-2004, 05:54 AM Instead of spray perfume I use the perfumed creams/lotions and rub the insides of the envelope with it. He says that the scent last much longer when I do this as opposed to just spraying the letter, plus the letter gets the scent and he can put the envelopes in bed with him.:)
ozziegirl 08-22-2004, 11:12 AM We won't talk about what else he would like me to scent them with. LOL.
LOL LOL I obliged mine.....first time when I sent a black cat cut from ummmmmm you know what, I got a letter back asking me......"am I missing something honey with that black piece of fabric you sent me" I mustn't cut out cats very well LOL Wrote and explained what it was and what had on it and he asked me to send again. Second one got returned to me as not allowed LOL LOL He sure missed the boat. Sorry if this offends anyone. But it was so funny. But yes I scent my letters all the time. I use creme perfumes as well cause they do definately last longer. I was getting lots of gentle reminders in the beginning cause kept forgetting. Now I dont forget at all.
october 08-22-2004, 06:47 PM I spray just about all the letters. If I forget, my husband reminds me to the next letter. He loves it and it makes him feel like I am with him.
Sadie80 08-22-2004, 06:50 PM Yes, I spray his letters with perfume. If I forget he reminds me to. He loves it.
Dre's Lady 08-22-2004, 07:08 PM LOL....Okay ladies. For a minute I thought I was "weird". LOL
Dre's Lady 08-22-2004, 07:09 PM Nuros Wife, I never thought of that. I'm going to do that right now.
Thanxs!!!!
CSunshyn 08-22-2004, 07:15 PM Yup, yup. Every last one of them gets sprayed... :) I don't know what my guy got his hands on but he's been spraying his letters to me with something... smells like him... he even sent me a chap-stick kiss the other day, I laughed at that one... trying to picture him smoochin on a piece of paper in there. It made me smile, and sad all at once.
nickave27 08-22-2004, 10:02 PM I ALWAYS SPRAY. HE LOVES IT. HE PUTS THEM ON HIS VENT . HE SAYS THAT HIS CELL ALWAYS SMELLS LIKE ME.
e_wife03 08-22-2004, 10:19 PM i use body spray from victoria secret
missingjr 08-22-2004, 10:50 PM i do
timeistheenemy 08-24-2004, 06:57 AM I spray my letters as well.... sometimes I spray my neck and rub the letter over my skin afterward to prevent staining....plus it creates a pretty visual for my babe to imagine.
Have any of you kissed your pages with lipstick? Is this allowed? I haven't tried it yet because I can't bear having my letters sent back and him not knowing why he hasn't received anything.
Thanks for the ideas.....scented black cat felt cut outs...LOL....very creative!!! I love it. :)
Jen29 08-24-2004, 07:26 AM I scent my letters also. My man said he can close his eyes and imagine himself holding me in his arms. I almost cried. I believe the best one was when he said that it made is cell smell good for days. All I could think about was I wonder what his cell mate thinks. LOL
Jennifer
California Sunshine 08-24-2004, 12:04 PM I do on ocassion.Sometimes when I don't the perfume I'm wearing rubs off on the paper and my guy said "Please tell me that is you that smells good,I don't want to be thinking some guard in the mail room is smelling good" LOL
ozziegirl 08-25-2004, 12:29 AM Have any of you kissed your pages with lipstick? Is this allowed? I haven't tried it yet because I can't bear having my letters sent back and him not knowing why he hasn't received anything.
Ive been kissing my letters to him with lipstick right from the beginning and have never had a problem. Sometimes I smother the pages with them and I always seal his letter with a lipstick kiss. He loves my kisses :) Think might start another thread with this to include all the little things you can do. Im sure there will b lots of ideas.
MissyDuran 08-26-2004, 12:30 PM LuvMyOz, try spraying a tissue, wait til it dries then put it in the envelope. Write your letter, when you're done, take the tissue out and send your letter. Recycle the tissue by spraying it again, waiting til it dries and inserting it in another envelope for next time. I do this all the time. I also keep all my stationary in a box with the envelopes, so everything always has my perfume smell (CK One). Hope this helps.
sleepysgirl 08-26-2004, 07:20 PM i use to spray all my letters to sleepy but then one time my spray bottle broke so i rubbed it on the letter and mailed it to him. well i got a letter from the facility telling me that they destroyed the letter because they thought it had bodily fluids. he almost got a ticket out of it. so after that i havn't sent any more letters with purfum. sleepy is so upset about it because he really liked the way my letters smelled because they would remind him of me.
LittleBooDog 08-26-2004, 08:00 PM hmmm bodily fluids that smell that good? NOT!
I spray mine too. Sometimes I forget and he reminds me.
Hmmm lipstick kisses? I will have to try that also. I wasn't sure if it was allowed.
And making a post of ideas for your letters is a wonderful idea.
I am always searching for little ways to make him smile since smiles inside come so rarely.
Thank you girls for your inspirations.
~Sharna~
LuvmyOz 08-27-2004, 01:24 PM Missy, thanks a million for the tip. Will do.
Thanks to all for the feedback also!:D
Schuy :D :D :D :D

Marion 08-30-2004, 12:40 PM If you get stains then you can spray the inside of the envelope, wait a little while and then put the letter in the envelope. That's how I do it and I do it with all the letters I send. Except from the ones to Angola, Louisiana, perfume is prohibited there. :(
LittleBooDog 10-05-2004, 08:39 PM I tried lipstick kisses and was asked quite nicely if I could refrain from doing that in the future.
Probably because of the "body fluids" on the mouth. I don't know, but I do know I was asked not to do that again.
cmj_babygirl 10-07-2004, 04:28 PM Spray the paper before you write and let them dry. I spray mine all the time.:p
Retired-26 10-07-2004, 04:39 PM i do but they always mess the ink up!
brooksangel 10-09-2004, 01:13 PM I did the emergency kisses also.. and it was returned A. to many post its, B. excessive lipstick... jeez... I do spray my letters.. I try to do it before I write, but if not I spray where I didn't write... Brooks says he likes the smell :p
queenmae2u 10-09-2004, 01:57 PM Yeppers, I spray my babies letters and cards. He loves it too! Says he also puts it up on his pillow and imagines I'm there laying with him, also told me, he wipes the scent on his pillow, to sleep with it and wake up with my scent or puts it by the vent to have my perfume fill the cell. Some of his friends commented on it, saying that it smelled really good!! LOL You could smell it around the area I guess LMAO. He asked me what I use, My favorite.........White Diamonds (cuz diamonds are a girls best friend J/K) Haha :) At visits he would just hug me and take deep breaths in, smelling me (saying MMMMM), kiss me then smell & kiss some more LOL. He definately loves it though!
Spray the paper before you write and let them dry. I spray mine all the time.:p
I'll have to try this. The only time I ever sprayed his letters the ink ran so I havent tried it sense. I did read somewhere if you store your paper in an air tight container with scented cottenballs then the paper will smell without ever actually toughing the perfume.
Bookiesgril 10-09-2004, 05:11 PM Yes, I have *smile* I don't spray the actual letter.. I spray another peace of paper and tuck it along with the letter... That away the ink wont smear *smile*.. He's also spray's his letters as well
queenmae2u 10-10-2004, 07:14 PM Hey Bookies,
What does he used to spray his letters with? Just wondering and a lil jealous j/k LOL
Eddie's_Angel 10-10-2004, 07:58 PM I have sprayed letters before with perfume, sent & received locks of hair, sent lipstick kisses on paper, & sent pieces of underwear fabric to my guy before.
None of it ever got sent back to me. He loved all of it! :)
Eddie's Angel
Mckenly'zBoo 10-10-2004, 11:00 PM I send ALL my letters with a hint of Victoria Secret's Love Spell. It is his favorite scent. I have gone thru more of it in the past few months than I have the whole year we were together!!! I think that's a sign... I write way to damn much!!! LOL :)
Eddie's angel!!!! I want him to send me his hair!!!! I'm gonna tell him to send some when i talk to him tomorrow!!! Good idea, especially for a girl that can't visit so I havent seen or felt him in 3 months!!! And how the hell do you get the underwear fabric thru?! I want to try that too. GREAT IDEAS EDDIES ANGEL!!! :D
MsChiku 10-10-2004, 11:45 PM Yes, I spray my letters to him with his favorite scent. And he puts his scents on my letters too. I'll sleep with that next to my pillow a couple of nites ;)
Csmcgrl23 10-11-2004, 07:23 AM i spray my letters too and he has told me that his cell smells like me all the time, he said sometimes guys will come in just to get a whiff since they are getting good smelling letters.
