View Full Version : SAVE ON YOUR PRISON CALLS
golf_buddy 12-20-2002, 10:20 AM Staying in contact with a loved one in prison can drain you financially. :pissed:
 Tele-Net is dedicated to helping families reduce the cost of their inmate's collect calls from prison. When you want to save on your institutional calls, call the professionals who have been serving inmate families since 1996.

Can't help it 12-20-2002, 05:26 PM If this service has been around since 96 why are a lot of people just now hearing about this service?
I'm just asking .
flygirlaa2 12-20-2002, 05:43 PM Cant, One of the reasons may be that there hasn't been a whole lot of information for famlies with loved ones incarcerated. Thank you David for helping up. You are truely god sent.
golf_buddy 12-21-2002, 09:03 PM The reason many people have not heard about our service is that we have never really advertised. Knowledge of our service spread primarily by word of mouth inside the prisons. Our customers constantly tell us that they wished they had found out about our service earlier. So we are trying to get the word out. Fortunantly we got tune in to PTO when one of the moderaters signed up for our service. We think our association with PTO will help spread the news.
Can't help it 12-23-2002, 12:13 PM Thank you for the responce flygirl & golf_buddy.
I really am thinking about trying this service out. I was telling my friend about it but he was telling me i have the wrong company and that it's another one out there but he just can't remember the name. I don't think he really know. Well i'll keep you posted on how the service works for me if i decide to use it, God know's i need to.
Take care and Merry Christmas!:p
golf_buddy 12-23-2002, 04:03 PM There are other companies who offer this service. But you need to be wary of impostors. We originated this concept. We have been in this business 8 years, in addition the people running this company have been in this telephone business over 15 years. Our experience results in fewer problems with the service. But if a problem does occur we have the know how to fix it.
Most of our competitors did not have this level of experience and so when problems occur they do not know how to fix them. Their customer then end up paying for service they can not use.

I CALLED TELE-NET AND ITS ACTUALLY CHEAPER JUST KEEPING MY SERVICE THE WAY IT IS. I JUST GOT MY NEW PHONE BILL AND IM ACTUALLY EXCITED. ITS UNDER $100.00. WITHOUT THE COLLECT CALLS ITS $45.00. AND THIS IS WITH ABOUT 14 COLLECT CALLS IN ONE MONTH. TELE-NET WAS THE SAME AMOUNT AND THEY EVEN SUGGESTED I JUST KEEP MY SERVICE THE WAY IT IS.

meechie2177 03-15-2003, 04:46 PM Hi Everyone,
Well I am extremely interested in telenet, what gets me is that they run a credit check and if I am not approved I will lose my 39.00. Is there any way of putting down a deposit Richard?
golf_buddy 03-17-2003, 06:43 AM If your credit is really questionable call us and we will check your credit before you send in the $39. To check credit call 1-888-925-1400.
cember 03-17-2003, 07:59 AM dont even bother applying unless you have PERFECT credit.
Rebecca 03-17-2003, 11:56 AM In Pennsylvania, an inmate can lose his telephone privilages and be put in the "hole" if they attempt to sign up for a service which issues a local number for forwarding the calls. This would be a great system if you didn't get caught.
Fed-X 03-17-2003, 01:10 PM It makes me happy to read this post because someone (in my mind) that is not reputable and out for prisoner's family interests probably would have tried to sell their service even if it wouldn't save them any money. Looks like Tele-Net realized it and notified the potential client.

Lysbeth 03-17-2003, 09:30 PM I'm certainly looking forward to my Tele-Net bill next month now that they finally got the number on my guy's phone list! Matter of fact, when I went to BellSouth online today to pay that part of my Tele-Net service bill, I decided to take a look at my regular phone bill for last month that should be showing up any day in my mailbox now.
Cost of calls for February (call costs only) - $215 :(
My figures if he'd been able to call via Tele-Net in February - oh, about $50 :)
The service is a godsend... I can't believe I'd ever say I was looking FORWARD to paying a phone bill, but I am my Tele-Net bills!!! :D
MyLife1020592 03-18-2003, 07:08 PM I am glad that it is doing good for someone because it doesn't help me at all...I wish that it did becuase I have so many collect calls...
Rebecca,
Most prisons state that you cannot call forward calls to a local number. The way technology is now, the prisons cannot pick up on it.....I talked to the phone technicians at our local phone company as well as Richard....

golf_buddy 03-20-2003, 09:11 AM The credit requirements are not nearly as strict as "cember" thinks. I have heard from many PTO members who said their credit was terrible but were approved. I know of individuals who were approved even though they had bankrupcies and foreclosures on their credit record. So the credit requirements are far from perfect.
If you have questionable credit you can call 1-888-925-1400 and Tele-Net will check to see if you qualify at no cost to you.
