What happened to the Iowa Get-Together? Food, music, door prizes...it was all ready and no one showed! Not a single person! Is everyone okay? Did people change their minds?

We were able to return some of the door prizes to the store, but the donations that had been made we're trying to find appropriate uses for. We were able to use some of the food to feed friends we called on the spur of the moment to come over and help us get rid of stuff.

I'm not all that upset, just wondering what happened? I suggest before anyone tries this again that there needs to be someway to hold everyone to their commitment to come...before all that time and money is lost again.

A little disappointed, but we will survive. The biggest disappointment was not getting to meet all of you!

Sorry it didn't work out, hopefully the next time will be better.

:DHi!!! I myself am very, Very, VERY sorry :cry:... I don't really have an excuse except MONEY :blah: ... I have been struggling :cuffs: to get them caught back up. I would Loved to have been able to make it sounded like loads of FUN... :) Again I'm very, Very, VERY sorry. :blush:

I am very very very sorry as well. My grandmother made a surprise visit from Phoenix on Saturday. My son and I only get to see her once every couple of years. In fact, this is only the 2nd time she's ever seen him. I'm very sorry. I think we should try this again, and find a way to hold everyone to their commitment. I am terribly sorry that I was not able to make it. I do want to meet everyone. I'm sorry that you went through all of the trouble of putting this all together. Again, I'm sorry.

We're real sorry also, I had high hopes of meeting everyone, our transportation went out and my daughter decided toget married on a short notice, which cost us money we had saved for the GTG.
