In 1998 I volunteer for the Red Cross..They sent me to Texas for the floods and toronato...I was trained in first aid and how to write there reports and shipped out. They pay for your airfare..If your lucky you'll have your own rent a car, but you drive other volunteers to the site your working at..They pay for your hotel and they give you 500.00 dollars to live on.. When it runs down to 200.00 you put a new requst in for another 500.00 dollars..Volunteers make alot of new friends and this is very rewarding....If your not working this is good training.....................minnie:cool:
