My son had been at MC for several months after going through RC at DVI (hell) for 3 months. He was sent to court last week, and now I have been told that he has to go to San Quentin for RC .

How long will he be there? Can I go visit? Do I need to get another approval? Will he be sent back to MC? Why does he have to go through HELL again (RC)?

I just don't understand this....does the pain ever stop.....DVI almost destroyed him, can he do another RC?

That is odd. Usually when an inmate goes out to court he goes right back to the institution when he is done.

Did you pick up an additional charge/sentence while in court?

My son went to court on a probation violation from an offence he got at 18....he had not shown up to see his po because he was in prison...even the judge said he had a good excues. No charges, no extra time, just another court date in Nov.

I just talked to county and they said I can't see him because he is being transfered to San Quentin sometime this week. I talked to some one at SQ and they said it takes weeks to get an appointment at the RC there and by then my son will have been transfered either back to MC or somewhere else or they will mainline him at SQ. The person I talked to said I won't be able to see my son for at least a month.

Do they have the same phone sysyem (MCI) at SQ? Why can't he just go back to MC? He has all his stuff there (clothes and other items fron quarterly/monthly packages).

Doesn't anyone understand what kind of hell we are already going through? You finally get adjusted to your own private hell and then it all changes.

How long was he out to court? If he is out of the institution for a while they can have them go back to reception. Usually an Out to Court only lasts a few days to a couple of weeks.

My son was transfered to county on Thur and court was the following Monday. He was out of court that afternoon and we were told he would be transfered back to MC on Wed.

he is still at county and could be there for awhile till he is transfered to SQ.

None of this makes sense to me.

To be honest, it doesn't make much sense to me either. That is not how I have seen things work. I have inmates on my yard go out to court for over a week and return right back to my yard.

I wish I was more help, but I am confused on this one as well.

I would contact the Warden from the other prison to get a heads up on what
the hell is going on. Also, your last visiting approval should follow him to San
Quentin, unless of course it is over a year, then they make you go through
all the b.s. again...I don't know about the phone systems at the Q, but I would guess that it is MCI or Correctional Billing Services...Stay strong...
