The new chat site runs off something called java, it doesn't matter that you understand this language, but your computer must if you want to get into chat. If you've been into the chat room since it's been re-vamped and everything's worked fine for you, feel free to move onto something more productive other than reading this rambling post. However, if you're registered with the chat and are still having problems getting in...read on, this could be the cure to your problem.

The settings for java are located in your web browser--if you don't know what a web browser is, please take a hammer and smack yourself in the head....follow that up immediately with two direct blows to your computer monitor. :D just kidding....Your web browser is the application you use to surf the web, read the posts here at PTO, etc. I'll deal with the two most popular types, Netscrape and Internet Exploiter...90 some odd % of people run one or both of these, so you should be laughing with the directions below. If you don't know which version of the web browser you are using, go up to the Help Menu....located at the top tool bar of your window. Simply click Help, then About.... a sign will pop up and let you know what version you have. Then you can match your version to the closest one below....
