My boyfriend is in county waiting to go to ADC. But he's not on the waiting list yet. How long does it usually take to get on the list and is there any way to speed it up? :confused:

My husband was sentenced July 26th, but according to the ADC ( I went through a web site and emailed my questions) he was put on the list Aug 2nd. He is still waiting to go. The ADC did tell me they are beginning to get to those on the list in July. I was told it would be a few weeks. Hope this info helps.

I don't know exactly how long it takes. It's been almost a year since my fiance went to county, and it took about a month and a half for him to get to prison.

hun, it just depends on how full the prison is where you'r man is goin'. It took 4 months for my ex-husband to be moved outta county & from there everything else went pretty fast.

p.s. there is NO way to speed any of the process up. You just have to sit it out.

Took us 3 months to get to county. If he smokes, he'll prefer county, cuz u can't smoke at ADC. Visits are longer at ADC. You still get "good time" at county. It's really not something to get excited about, it's not like it's better at ADC than most county jails. (sorry)

He seems to think it will be better at ADC. At county they stay locked down all the time and it drives him crazy. He has been there for almost three months now. He does smoke, but he says he would gladly give it up to get out of there.

I hope he likes it better. I know we liked the thought of my hubby going to ADC because i was one step closer to getting out! My hubby gave up smoking too - that's one good thing that came of this whole experience.
