View Full Version : eezdpz ~ Introduction
eezdpz 08-09-2004, 08:55 PM Hi Everyone, My name is Gene, I am dpz5 ( Dawn's ) husband. I signed up for this, Dawn said it would be good for me while she is gone to read up on this stuff. We are the proud parents of 5 children. This so called justice system is a little wacked. They may think that Dawn is the only one sentenced to 16 months, but I and the kids were too. They don't seem to care about children and spouses. She reports to Bryan Texas, just around the corner from our house...806 miles. There is a place in Greenville, 72 miles from our house, but the BOP seem to know what is best for US!!!! Thanks for the info, I know I will get more in the future, I look forward to chatting with all of you...Gene
BusyMan 08-09-2004, 09:26 PM Good evening, Gene. Glad you're here. My wife is at Bryan now. I'm sure this whole thing sucks for you right now (as it does for me, too). I'm raising our two daughters by myself (with some help from family, thankfully) but, honestly, this experience has been the best thing that has ever happened to my wife. She broke the law, no question. She's a much healthier person now than before this all happened. There's good in every situation.
Again, I'm glad you're here. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
sbrown110 08-10-2004, 11:01 AM Welcome to PTO Gene. Here you will find much information, compassion and support. I am also facing federal time and have requested Bryan. I will leave behind a husband and 3 1/2 year old. I hope to meet your wife when I get there. (But then God knows where they could send me) I also hope my husband comes to PTO in search of support. I wish you much peace. May the time pass quickly.
Sheryl
Moodysgirl 08-10-2004, 12:18 PM Welcome to the PTO family Gene. I'm glad you found us. There is lots of support here.
Much luck to you and those 5 children of yours. I'm sending positive thoughts your way.
txgrannie 08-10-2004, 09:49 PM Hi Gene, I have exchanged email with Dawn several times before she left. I will be reporting Friday 13th to Bryan for 4 months. I have to say that since all that has happened, things are lots better even though there have been changes in our life style. Ron & I are closer and we are facing this process in phases. I was sentenced on May 28th but was granted the summer to be with the three grandchildren that Ron & I are raising. I leave Friday and they go back to school on Monday and I have to say that we are ready for the separation - ha!
We are about 2 1/2 hours from Bryan so Ron will get to visit on the weekends most of the time. I figure that he will get on PTO after I leave. Hopefully, this phase will be over by Dec. 10th and I will be back home for confinement of 4 months.
Keep your chin up as things do get better with time.

It could be worse, like you being in Japan and her any where in the US. Like my little situation here. ;)
I think the BOP does things to frustrate us family members so we can put pressure on our loved ones in hopes that they don't repeat their mistakes and put us through this again. At least that's what I hope they're doing. Okay, so maybe I'm dreaming that they know what they're doing, but I can still dream, can't i?

Welcome to PTO, so glad you have decided to join us! Miles...we feel you! Only I don't have 5 children to travel with! Thats a crime in itself...and is unfair!
One good thing...we don't wish this on no one, but atleast she is gonna meet some PTO'ers at Bryan! Some were waiting for her arrival.

txgrannie 08-11-2004, 07:25 PM Sorry Dawn, So many had to report on Monday that I did not remember if you were in the bunch for Monday or not.
I am trying to finish up things around the house that will not get done while I am gone. I have given the PTO info to my daughter so she can contact you folks on Monday after the kids are back in school. At least I have been sleeping this week but not any extra.:)
4MyJoe 08-11-2004, 07:48 PM Welcome Gene! It's maybe rough for you, but you'll be much stronger for it!
