hello everyone. i am sherry and after many posts in the wrong places, i think i am finally where i need to be. i am waiting for sentencing. crime was subscribing to false tax return (federal). psr recommends 15 months, no fine, and 1 yr supervised release. it was my understanding that by pleading guilty my sentence was completely at the descretionof the judge-he even said that at the plea hearing. now my attorney tells me that i WILL get 15 months because of sentencing guidelines. i am so stressed i don't even know my name. at sentnecing the attorney will request carswell fmc because i have multiple sclerosis. can anyone give me info on carswell that is up to date? i have read bop.gov til i could recite, but i want GOOD info. i know i still may end up in bfe but then i will find the forum for bfe. sorry, some smart a** slipped out then. jeez, how do you guys do it? any help is much appreciated. you can email me or post back here, whatever. thanks so much to all of the folks who responded to my first posts and directed me to the right forum. peace:confused: sherry

In the federal forum there is a thread regarding female prison camps. There is lots of good information in this thread. Also, you can do a search for Carswell. In the past I have read many things relating to Carswell. Most of the camps will be similar. There are many women here at PTO who have done time and can answer questions. They are a great source for information and support.
Welcome to PTO.

Sherry,
A friend of mine just got out of Carswell a couple of months ago for a violation. She said it was laid back and kinda boring. She'd been in Bryan before and said that there was much more to do at Bryan than Carswell. I'll try and get hold of her today and find out more for you.
