My husband is currently at the Benton County Jail Facility. He was sentenced to 3 1/2 years for class c forgery. How long can we expect him to remain in Bentonville? Is there time to make arrangements with a phone company? What phone company services the jail? I live in New Orleans, is long distance more? I read about a phone service called Outside Connenction. Anyone heard of it? Sorry so many questions. This is our first time in this situation and I'm having trouble coping. If it were just simple, do the crime do the time. It's over. But I'm finding it doesn't work that way. Someone please help me with some information. The stress is killing me.

Your husband will probably have to put you on his calling list and then you should be able to receive phone calls. Each jail or prison has a contract with a phone company, so it's really out of your hands. And I don't know for sure about Benton county's phone call costs, but I'm pretty sure it will definitely cost extra for him to call out of state.
