Has anybody ever heard of a parole cut? At visiting today a woman was telling me she went to the parole board and got them to review her husband's case earlier - more than 2 years - due to special circumstances at home (the devestating illness of a child). He comes up for parole in January of 2003 instead of July 2005.

I am wondering if Wayne's recent diagnosis of Hepatitis C would qualify as an extreme circumstance or if anybody has had any experience with this. I have never even heard of it!

I don't know what a parole cut is....but you can file a reconsideration for parole. that is what we are doing now. He gets the paperwork from his counselor and sends them out...Everyone writes letters and reasons that the inmate should be reconsidered. On this sheet you list anything significate that has changed since his last parole consideration. Whether it be illness, future employment plans, place to live, anything that could influence them. As far as hepititis C....I'm not sure....My boyfriend has had it also and it made no difference...

thanks rdslove

I checked with Wayne's attorney that represented him during the parole revocation hearing. He said that since Wayne's date was "board set" then there was no way they would even reconsider him. It really sucks! :(
