Why is it Ruben can have 2, 5minute phone calls,one after the other,where i have to accept the call twice.Why cant he just have a 10minute call,Ihavnt had a phone bill yet,They are going to charge me twice for accepting each call arnt they?Is it the phone company trying to make more money or is it down to SQ.Sorry for rambling on but im annoyed:mad: :angry: :angry: l

IT WOULD BE THE SAME AMOUNT. THERES NOT A CHARGE FOR EACH CONNECTION. THE CALLS ARE CHARGED BY THE MINUTE, SO DON'T WORRY SWEETIE. THERE NOT TRYING TO ADD HIDDEN CHARGES. :)

Iwould tend to disagree, if Ruben calls collect twice, then you would be charged twice.
Any operator assisted calls, whether once or twice are two separate calls. As to why
he does this? He may have switched with someone else, like maybe the other guy needs to call home in the am, so he changes places with your honey, or your honey
wants to talk some more to you, or he is sneaking a phone call in while the co's aren't
looking. My honey used to do that all the time. I didn't mind him calling twice in a roll,
to just to talk awhile longer was fine with me. Suzi

Dell Used To Do This Too. Sometimes He Jumped To The Phone Before Whoeve Was Supposed To Get It And Then Would Have To Give The Phone Up And Wait For His Turn. You'll Only Get Charged For The Minutes Used Nothing More.

Im not complaining about how many times he calls,I would talk 24/7 if allowed or better still have him here with me talking face to face,sadly this is never going to happen.I just couldn't understand why he had 2, 5min calls instead of a constant 10min one:)

I hear ya girl...Eric used to do this from time to time...I didn't care, just to hear his
voice on the other line is all that mattered to me. But I can understand how this would
drive the average girl crazy...

Its probably because the calls are limited to 5 min. each by whatever company the prison uses.
I know when my daughter was in county jail it was like that. A recording comes on and says you have 30 seconds left, so she would have to hang up and call back. And yes, I was charged for 2 collect calls back to back.
