Yesterday, my friend Jane and I recieved the proxy papers back from our guys. We took our lunch break today to go get the marriage licenses. We were a little worried that we might not be able to get them since we didn't have a birth certificate or anything from them other than the proxy paper. Our lunch "hour" ended up being 2 hours long but we each walked out with a marriage license in hand :yay: We will be getting married next Friday, the 13th.

It's really happening now!

I'm a little nervous but more excited than anything. Next Friday will be another story...I'll be a wreck.

Congratulations! I am so happy for you. My fiance has been wanting me to marry him. At first I had major reservations about doing it while he was in. But something hit me, and I'm like, "What am I waiting for? I want to spend the rest of my life with this man, for once Amanda take a chance." Anyway, so I have told him that I DO want to marry him. He is SOO happy. I have a visit this weekend. Anyway, we are in TX too and will be doing it the way you did. Can you enlighten me on the process.
