Haley,
Hey Girl.. I see Chris finally pulled.. He's at JBCC huh? I've been told that it's not a bad yard. They have some pretty good programs there too. And at least he'll be able to eat there. Thank goodness he didn't get sent to Lawton. John has lost 30 punds in 2 months. :( Tell Chris that we said hello.. HUGS to all of you...

They have a really good program for the ones there that are married or engaged Its a counsouling type deal that you can do together (its Usually on a weekend and you can stay at the Hospitality house there really cheap) and its to help you both deal with the things we have to deal with becoming a family again. They raise their own garden and stuff and usually eat better there than at OSP proper.

My fiance has been at JBCC for a year now. He doesn't tell me about the inside. He say's that he will tell me when he's out cause right now he just wants to here about good things like me and his daughter. I really don't believe that the prison is the worst park i think it's all the things that are takin away (family ,freedom ,and privilage) that makes it the worst. I just hope it teaches my fiance the lesson it's meant to cause I love him and want him to stick around for good after this.

P.S. I wish i could answer your question but I have a hardheaded man. He won't tell me a thing.

My fiance got his G.E.D. and now takes full time collage courses. It's not a bad place and they have more opportunaties than most of us.

They do have good programs. My fiance has his G.E.D. now and takes collage courses full time. He also has a job there as well.

My fiance was just sent to JBCC. I don't know much of anything about it yet, but it seems like one of the better spots and at least he got minimum security. We thought it was going to be medium.

My husband is there. They do get alot of freedom.. Visiting is decent. You can walk around out side with them.. The CO's seem pretty good, they are polite and don't really pay that much attention to you. Everyone so far minds their own. Its not that big of a facility. I think it holds about 800 or less. Like JohnCat posted, alot of drugs coming in there.

We are a inter-racial couple. Do you think that will be an issue there? I have read that some people in some prisons have a very hard time because of it. I don't know much about OK and how they view it in general there, let alone in the prisons and by the guards.

I don't think you will. Even though, some racial tensions still run strong in Oklahoma, most would not create friction because of it.

Thanks for the info. I feel a little more at ease, but I have never dealt with anyone I knew in prison, let alone someone I love so much! I still have not gotten a phone call since he arrived there and it has been about 10 days. He told me that they had to approve my phone number. I can't wait to see him because I have not seen him in over two months. Since I live in Tennessee I will only get to see him once every couple months anyway, but I'd like to have the first visit under my belt. I think I'd feel a little less nervous.

It does take a while to get approved.. It was over 2 weeks before my number was put in.

I always like to know and understand the rules before I go to visit too.. Good luck!
