Hey everyone...wanted to let you all know i will be self surrendering on Aug 25 to Ft. Bryan Tx the FPC womens facility. So for all of you who are going there this month too..let me know maybe we can find each other when there...I am trying to get my designation changed so I can be closer to home...but not sure if that will happen...so as of now...Bryan ...here I come!!!

I can definately tell you what not to say (see the thread: Bad things to say...).

But I can also tell you there is no reason to be 'scared to death'. Every woman there has been through the same experience you are going through right now, and they will help you figure it out.

Also, please remember that the easiest part of your sentence involves where you are - it is not who you are. In other words, sure, your body will be in prison, but your mind can be wherever you would like it to be. I hope that doesn't too silly, but your mind is what you now have control over. Make the best of it: grow, learn, read, pray, be creative, start healing, love yourself.

You will make it throught this. We all will!

Thanks for the advice....I know I will be ok...I am a strong person...but it is scary...I have never been through anything like this and will be away from my 5 kids and husband...and that is what is scary for me!!!! I am going to go in and make the best of it
