Hello, I have been searching this site and I have found some rules on items that are allowed to be mailed. Well, my dad is in Eglin FPC (Florida) and the last time I talked to him he said I could send him a paper back directly. Now, some of the rules I have been reading say that the book has to be sent directly from the store ( barnes & nobles, etc) Where can I go to find mail rules for Florida? I am so lost  and so new at this. Any info I can get for mailing magazines and books would be greatly appreciated :)

i'm sure all prisons can be different ..i haven't read these rules but my penpals in hardee, raiford and sumnter can only get books from publishers.
barnes and noble does not send to prisoners anymore..try amazon.com
or another bookstore.
this is the web site for rules

Hi...
Frist let me say welcome to PTO... you asked where you could go to find out the rules , you can check the DOC site for your state or simply post in the state forum..if you scroll down from this area you will see each state listed.... click on the state you are inquiring about and then you can post in there and ask around as well.... best of luck to you....the Barnes and Nobles here still sends packages to inmates so not all B&N are the same....best of luck to you!!!
