You can call the visitor's hotline free to get information, at 1-800-374-8474, or you can call the prison tomorrow.
I haven't heard of any lockdowns at CTF this weekend. The last one I know about was in the beginning of July.

I read last week that Salinas Valley SP is on lockdown due to a hunger strike. The inmates are striking because the prison has put everyone on severe water rationing. You'd think that when they built SVSP, they'd have made sure there was enough H20! So, they're "borrowing" water from Soledad SP.

They were on hunger strike for only 2-3 days and it wasnt so much about the water. It was about constantly being put on lockdown because of "searches" They had been on strict lockdown since April!

On Sunday, August 1st, North Facility ended up getting locked down ....all except the inmates that were actually in the visiting room with their families.......anyone waiting (inmate or family) or family that was as close as the door we go through to get into the visiting room, had to go back on the bus and visiting was cancelled for the rest of the day for all but about 50 that were already in with family.....due to a stabbing in the North Dorms.

Sad that some got that close (and there were quite a few that were from Ohio, Arizona, etc) that hadn't seen their loved one in a long time, but were turned away due to the incident......

Right now, South Facility (Hispanics) are on lockdown and will receive no visit for this whole weekend......now I am waiting to hear if it spread to the rest of the facility........I got out there and all the way into the visiting room at North and was sitting and waiting as usual for them to bring my hubby out, and that's when they finally informed me (on that day) that he had no visits that weekend......:angry: .....I was so mad and upset....unreal that no one before, during all the process of getting over that far and then to get that close to where he is and no one coud of told me sooner??.......sometimes I wonder if they don't play it like a game and pick and choose.....but what can one do....like my hubby tells me "welcome to the CDC baby!":blah:
