Hi,
I am going with my family to visit the Gerogia parole board during their "open hours" that they hold every month to talk to them about my brother who has been in prison for 10 years. Can anyone tell me what to expect?
Do they give you any time to talk? Is it okay to go over the details of the case? Is it done in a formal way in front of everyone, or is it one-on-one?
We will bring them letters from friends and family.
Also, he isn't officially up for parole until 2007 but he was rejected for parole the first time he came up for it (back in 2000 or so). We were not prepared that time and didn't write letters or anything. We were hoping that if we gave them a a parole package, then they would consider his parole again. Does anyone know if that is true?
Thanks so much to all of you--I would really appreciate any advice about this process.
