I have been offline abit, mostly just writing my "Angel" since my return from the Balkans back to Germany. Its been rewarding and relaxing at the same time.
Anywho, I met Angel through "Meet-an-Inmate.com" over awhile ago. She's in for a stretch (DUI/with accidental death)...she got 15 and a half, but shes supposed to do 5 before release (or parole or whatever). I don't know how the Michigan parole system works, so if any one could give me some pointers I would appreciate it.
Compared to the women I have met at home and abroad, she definitly is an amazing person inside and out. What started out as a websearch for a pen-pal has turned into something deeper and stronger than either of us have known.
She made a single tragic mistake, and for that she lost her freedom, her childs early years, a business and so much more. She is no con-artist, by any stretch...she is a loving human being.
Her mistake caused an accident which took a life, and that is a burden she will always bear. The world always remembers mistakes, but never the good things in life...like love.
She is my anchor to home and happiness, in return I endeavor to be her rock...through thick and thin. Friends and family come and go, but love is what keeps it together.
So for all you romantics and pen-pals out there, be wary of disclaimers...but keep your hopes up and your hearts open and you may find friendship and maybe love where you least expect it.
