William William Williams and Thomas Thomas. Real names, Folks! Were these parents unimaginative or what? I have more of these.

Richard (Dick) Seaman

I used to work in a hospital ER and it was funny how many docs had names suited for their specialities...
Dr Cockburn... pronounced Coe Burn... urologist
Dr Shams... pain mgmt who always had problems with insurance authorization... probably because he was a sham?
Can't remember the others right now. *pout*

My dentist office is Friendly Smiles run by Dr Friend and Dr Smiley. A Dr Love also works there.

Three brothers came into my ER. All named Perry Smith. Never understood why the parents didn't put the middle names as the first. Very confusing!
Perry George Smith
Perry Robert Smith
Perry Travis Smith

Hired a dishwasher when I worked in GA. His only legal ID was his birth certificate showing his legal first name to be Catfish. When I asked why Catfish, he replied, "Well, that's what my Momma was eatin' when I was made!" Oh my!

Don't know that anything besides Dr Cockburn and Dick Seaman make your criteria but I've always remembered the other names. :)

I went to see a walk-in doctor and he introduced himself as Dr. Lowcock. I couldn't believe my ears, and asked him to repeat a few times, by then I was red!

I was at work and there was a mom, who was having a hard time managing her toddler, he kept running off, knocking things off the shelves...he was very active, but wouldn't listen to her. She then put her hands on her hips and yelled " Jesse James come here right now!"

My daughter befriended twin boys...whose names were " Gunner and Cane"

In highschool, there was a guy there named "Duncan Hines" he was teased about his baking ability.
Also another guy in highschool was "Condon", but it always came out as Condom, during attendance no matter what.

There was a girl in my high school whose legal name is Mary Rounds. Not too original, huh. That is until she tells you what her middle name is... it's Go.

Knew a Robert Christmas who married a woman named Mary. Okay, she KNEW what she was in for but they named their daughter Merry! When asked they said they wanted a different spelling on the daughter's name so as not to get confused with the mother! They were so deadpan when they said this it sounded as if they didn't know the future torture their daughter would get!

This may not count as "funny" but pretty ironic. There was a guy on the news who's name is "Kerry Edwards" and if that isn't strange enough, his middle name is "Dean"

Kerry Dean Edwards. Sounds like a true Democratic name right? Nope. He is going to vote Republican.

My friend's mom is a 1st grade teacher, and she had a kid in her class last year named DOG. You pronounce it by actually spelling the word D-O-G, sounds like Diogi. Get it? How bad is that!

Stormy Dawn was a friend of mine, and I once had an OB/GYN whose real name was Dr. Pain!! If his name was not bad enough, when I was prepped to deliver my daughter, he examined me and made the comment that I had a "poodle cut"! Needless to say, once she was delivered I never looked or went back. Every once in a while I wonder what ever happened to him. And his poodle cut. LOL

My first job was in a pizza delivery place and Mr. Mister ordered a large pepperoni every Friday night while I worked there!

And, my favorite - There used to be a guy in the phone book who everyone called when we were teenagers - last name Shithead - pronounced shith/ead, the 'th' goes together. Needless to say, he got an unlisted number pretty quick!

Ok - my man has me look people up occasionally and I personally take it upon myself to look up whoever he is bunking with. I keep what I find out to myself usually, but this time I had to say something. I was looking at his bunkies stuff on the web and came across the aliases. I promptly wrote my honey and said, "Tell Chief JuneBug I said, 'What's up?'"

My daughters are in fifth grade now, but when they entered 2nd grade we were at the open house and they were showing me around and I came across a name tag on a desk and had to do a double take. MissEgyptian - yes that is one word and it is her first name!

When I was in middle school, the two meanest teachers there were Mr. and Mrs. Assey -- the wife's name was Joan Assey and the husband's name was Jack Assey. His parents must've been some pieces of work putting a name like that on their child!

One of the wards who came through a program I work at had the last name "Boner" -- he was a very self confident, out-going, likeable, popular kid ... and he really knew how to fight.

In Texas, the former Governor Jim Hogg allegedly had a daughter he named "Ima".

Someone earlier mentioned someone in town who was forced to get an unlisted number due to crank calls--when I was a kid, there was a person in town named "Purple Onion". Yeah, I called him too, heh :D
