Is it just my area or has been mail been slow all around Illinois???? One letter I just got the 20th was post dated the 12th :eek: ....Are the rest of you getting them any earlier? It's never taken this long for me to recieve his letters....:shrug:

I can't help you cause my mail is slow because my boyfriend is slow, not the post office. Usually though once he sends it out it will get to me within a week. For some reason the closer you are to them physically the slower mail is. I get mail within 2 days from my brother who is at the other end of the state, but from my boyfriend who is 120-200 miles away it takes me a week. The mail is a screwy thing and it is beyond my time to figure it out. I have just come to the conclusion I am happy when I get it and will learn to be content with what God has granted me for mail.

Mine has been pretty slow too. It all just depends really. Sometimes we get each other's mail within days, and other times it takes almost two weeks. It just happens that way sometimes.

Mine is slow but only because the mailroom people choose for it to be that way. I always get his letters two days after they have been postmarked. The problem is that he wrote them a couple of days before that but the mailroom does not send them out promptly. Well that's my situation with Illinois River.

Mines at Shawnee - Sometimes its fast, sometimes its slow - depends on the mood of the mailroom.

Lately I've been getting his within 2 days and mine take up to 10 to get to him, even the ones I send from the same town he's in. Go figure. But at least he gets it eventually, which is better than never. :D

I've given up on trying to figure out how they do things there - the best I can say is inconsistant - you can alwyas bank on that!
