I was wondering if anyone here can help answer a question for me that has been of great concern to me and my husband's family concerning the presence of the local media inside the Hearing room at his parole hearings. It seems that every time we go for a parole hearing (8-9 times now...I loose count!)..the media is there with TV cameras on us and they "edit" what part they want the public to hear...Mainly anything "positive" about my husband. They then plaster my picture and their "edited" account of the hearing all over the evening news. This has really become a problem for us! Those present to protest my husband's release are "politically connected"...even within the Corrections Dept itself. We feel that they might be contacting the media for extra "insurance" for their cause to keep my husband from making parole by placing more pressure on the Parole Board to deny him parole. I was just wondering if we have the right to request that the media not be alowed to be in there!??? They are not there for every other case being heard...why are we being singled out? I have suffered loss of jobs as well as the loss of my privacy ...not to mention the exploitation of the media's biased portrayals! Can anyone give me any advice on this? It would be so appreciated! God Bless and watch over all of you here and keep you and your loved ones safe, well and provided for in every area of your lives. Thank you!

Kindly,
