Gosh This is truly Awesome to find out that I have actually been on PTO 1 year as of Next Month! I sure have come a long way since then.
(sorry about not posting this yesterday..but I spend 2 days scooping water out of my AC vents and snaking out the condensation line that was blocked up with yukey gooey brown smelly slime)
Let's See Where do I begin...
First off I have no idea how I found this site..it eludes me..just God's directional plans I guess..Thank you Lord!
My nickname comes from the fact that I am a Grandmother of 6 Hence "GrannySixPack" and yes I do indulge in a sixpack once in a while in the summer months! LOL MSN didnt like the long name so I shortened it to "GSPack"
The story goes as best as I know..some hearsay some truth:
6 years ago my middle daughter(at 18) married a man who had a sorted past, but you know children they never listen. She already had 2 toddlers at the time and was PG with a 3rd child from a man who left her(we thought she had cancer and he couldnt handle the situation) so the new hubby took her "as is".
Work became scarce and living in the Cleo area he decided the best way to support his family was to burgularize storeage units and pawn or sell what he stole. He would insist that my daughter accompany him along with another junvenille....taking the little ones with them during all hours of the night.
How many places and homes were involved I do not know but one night they rented a Uhaul and disappeared into the night. I found them several days later in Louisiana close to New Orleans. 24 hours later they came back to Alabama and were caught in a house by a man who got their tag # and all 3 were arrested and charged with Over 150 burgularies throughout the southeastern and Northeastern side of Alabama and a few in Georgia and Florida. Naturally this made Headlines in the Newspapers in the Aressting City.
The three children were placed by my daughter with various relatives(who eventually got some sort of custody thru the courts).
4 court trials later(I didnt get involved till the last 2 hearings) and while awaiting for State Prison to pick her up the county she was being held in let her go. Why? She was 7 months PG with the 4th child. In June of 2000 she and her new boyfriend and baby came to stay with us..They broke up while i was babysitting and she ran (leaving a 4 month old with me, whom I am now raising)to Florida While awaiting her last to court hearings. Eventually she was
caught and sent to Tuitweler prison..In less than a year she was given Work Release in Birmingham, Al..after almost a year she broke a rule and was sent back to prison 16 months ago. She has been refused WR for the last 7 months. She came up for a Parole Hearing June14 but was turned down because of a mix up on a drinking issue by the attorney representing her. They said she must take SAP then they say no..but that she will have another hearing in December 04.
Without the help of PTO I would have been lost. Between Danille, DeniseJ(I love you GF) Lysebeth, Sue, Ragland..and Northwest Sara(she from Washington) and all the other Alabama people forgive me If I dont mention you name, Thank you from the bottom of my heart and my Grandaughter's Heart for making Life so much more bearable and answering all my Question and sharing your stories and your heartbreaks with me.....
