A former Suffolk correction officer has been sentenced to six months of home confinement for distributing marijuana, OxyContin and other drugs to inmates at a county jail.
Peter Lawless of Norwood was also ordered to pay a $3,500 fine.
Federal prosecutors say that in the summer of 2002, Lawless arranged to smuggle packages containing various controlled substances into Boston's South Bay facility.
