I just wanted to say that everyone who supports a woman who is incarcerated rocks!! Being female myself I know that I would need a ton of support if I were ever to go inside.

I know that statistically the rate of women incacerated to that of men is small in comparison, and that men seem to get more attention, but that does not mean that the women are forgotten. Especially to me. I happen to love a man in prison, but that does not mean I do not sympthize with y'all as well. I don't really know what the differences between the two facilities are (men/women), but I do know one thing; regardless it's tough.

Just wanted to say, stay strong and thanks for all you do.

AWHH..THATS REAL NICE OF YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE WOMEN WHO ARE INCARCERATED. I'LL ADMIT, AT TIMES I FORGET THAT WOMEN ARE PUT IN PRISON ASLO.
NICE THREAD!!! :)

I have often thought about what I would want if I was in. I really wouldn't want a man. I think it would be too hard for me knowing they are probably with someone else. I would freak if someone else answered the phone. I don't know if men can be celebate for that long. I'm sure I'll get hit in the head for saying that with the next post but I just don't know if I could handle the uncertainty.

Tracie, I figure you probably have your reasons for your response and won't question it. I'm sure there are men who would fail the fidelity test, but let me just say that men worry the same about their wives and girlfriends as you would, but I'm sure very few would be willing to give up the support their women give them. I think anyone in prison needs support whether male or female. Its their connection to the free world. ;)
