Hey...my name is Kay and I have a son in Ventress. He has a 5 year sentence but is coming up for early parole on August 10th. He most likely will be denied because he has to finish SAP and he has an old pending case that is not settled yet. :(
But...as a good friend said to me...God is still in the miracle business!
:)

Crime Bill...SAP...aren't they really the same thing?
Sometimes Kenny refered to it as SAP and other times he called it crime bill...i just thought they were both the same thing...

Hi Denise :-) From my understanding Crime Bill is a much longer program than SAP. I don't know if it is the same thing or not, but hear them referred to separately a lot. My impression that Crime Bill was a longer program, but I don't really know for sure. Anyone out there know the difference between SAP and Crime Bill if any?

Denise you are a go getter girl! Thank you for finding that out for us. I am fairly certain that SAP isn't available there because that is what my son was going to take.

I was an intern couselor in the SAP program for the last 2 years that I was there. If your son has been assigned to Crime Bill...it is a six month program that deals not only with substance abuse, but also criminal thinking and anger management. There are 3 counselors in the Crime Bill. Ms. Jones, Ms. Green and Ms Connie Bedsole who is in charge of the Crime Bill at Ventress. However, your son was determined for need and placed in Crime Bill by Mr. Ernie Marshburn, who is the Supervisor over all the drug treatment programs at Ventress CF. You may contact him by calling from 7AM until 3PM M-F @ 334-775-3331. Hope this helps but if you have any other questions regarding Ventress you may contact me at(email removed)

I just found out that my boyfriend was transfered to Ventress. I have only been writing letters. I don't know which phone service they use here. How is the visitation here?

Hi Amber!
I have visited my husband 3 times at ventress.I don't have anything to compare with but all in all it's not so bad.I beleive the same rules apply at all facilities. No jewelry(not even a wedding band) no tank tops or short shirts. All under clothes must be worn. The guards are fairly nice. You have some that try to be hitler.Just avoid them.hands on table at all times,no hanky panky.$10 in chang in a clear bag.I get to visit my husband this Sunday the 22nd.Coutin the min.

I have a question. I will be bring my 3 month old with me to visit. Will they allow my bf to hold him. The last time he was able to hold him was the day he was born.

Kay, welcome to the PTO family.
Your friend is right, God is in the miracle business.
You actually blessed my day with that statement.
