And I am so depressed. I have sent letter after letter and still no response. I am trying to be patient, but the wait is driving me crazy. I know he has money on his books (I sent it), so all I can do is sit back and wonder if he is ok. I called up there and he is not in trouble, so what is up? I keep thinking maybe something is up with the mail (it is incredibly slow sometimes), but 10 days? Maybe I am just tripping, but it is so unlike him not to write in this amount of time.

I need to get a grip. I will probably come home today from work and have a letter in the mailbox. But the constant letdown I have felt each day there is no mail is starting to really get to me.

The last letter I got from him was on July 10th. I have written him about 8 times since then. Arghhhh! I hate this waiting. I will be so glad when I get my phone calls back from him.

Sorry to ramble...but I needed to vent a little.

Its Ok We All Get Like That Sometimes. I Always Get Worried If I Dont Hear From John At Least Once A Day. Im Sure Its Just The Mail Being Slow. When U Go Home Open Up The Mailbox Maybe You'll Even Have 2 Or 3 Letters If They Were Backed Up! Good Luck!

ok i dont know if this is going to help you but a while back, jeff was supposed to call and he didnt. that is very unlike him, but its prison so things happen. but when the next day came and i didnt get his call, i began to panic. i did the same thing i called the jail like 10 times to see if he was in the box or introuble and i even called the counselor. well come to find out the jail was on lockdown and no one even told me. when i spoke to someone i said you know ive been calling and why didnt you tell me the jail was on lockdown???? you know what her response was???? i didnt ask!!!!! i could have killed this woman if she was infront of me! i would suggest calling the jail and asking if they are on lockdown. i hope you get a letter today!!!!

I know he is probably all right. I just trip out sometimes. You see, since he has been gone, there hasnt been 1 day that we havent talked daily sometimes 5or 6 times a day on the phone....until he got moved to the Diagnostic Prison. During this 8 week stay, we cant talk on the phone at all...so I thrive off of my letters. I miss my husband so much. I cant even enjoy being a newlywed..hell, I didnt even get to talk to him the day we were married! I did get a letter though...but since then...NOTHING.

I also pray there is something in the mail for me today. Thanks for trying to make me feel better guys. I appreciate it a lot.

I hear you! I was tripping over the last two weeks as well!!! But I finally got a letter from him today!! Guess what, even 3!! "My" post office stuffed up!!! :blah:

There is something to be said for intuition. I seldom get more than a couple letters a month, and maybe a call or two. Even during those long periods between contact, somethimes I get this feeling that something is wrong.

Thankfully, what has been wrong has never been more than him feeling sick or being sent out for court order.

I understand your concern. Hopefully, you will hear something positive -- very soon!!

Girl, I went through the same thing... I went through 2 weeks of not hearing from my baby. When I went to visit him, the visiting area was full so I couldn't see him. I was trippin hard and even called to see if he was in trouble like you did. I thought all these crazy thoughts for nothing because I got to visit him Monday night and he said that he had sent two letters and I should have gotten both of them. True to his word, I got them both the next day. But he too was trippin because he sent me a letter saying that he thought that I didn't want to be with him anymore because I didn't visit and someone had denied the phone call he made out to me. My mom denied it because she was home with the baby and I wasn't there so of course she wasn't going to answer it for $5.00 a pop just to tell him I wasn't home... But just pray that you get a letter soon, I know it's so dissapointing to check the mail and come up empty handed... The whole stress of this prison/jail situation and not being able to talk to our loved ones when we want to sucks and is hard to deal with but we gotta hang in there. Good luck in getting a letter today and just know that your not alone, and everyone here is here to give you all the love n' support you need.

Girl I know how you feel. I got so bad that I had to stop myself from checking my mail during lunch because I was always late getting back to work. Sometimes I wouldnt go back LOL! Now I finally trained myself to wait until after work.

I too know how you feel. I went almost three weeks without a letter after he was transferred to treatment. Turns out he's just been kept pretty busy compared to just sitting in his cell. Although I was glad to hear time is starting to move quicker for him I was ready to kill him. How long does it take to say he's okay and keep in touch. He must have known I was freaking out because when I finally did get a letter he had enclosed a picture. Since we became a couple after he was already in, I had no pictures of him. I too was calling and making sure he had money on his books, wasn't transferred somewhere else and was okay.

Yes, I rushed home, got my letters (my fix!) and was good for the rest of the evening. We should be on track now, so I should be getting my mail regularly now :)

You can vent any time. Believe me I totally understand. I haven't heard from Jeremy since the 6th as he was going to be moved. I know how hard it is to wait, so I am really glad you got your letters, and the phone calls will make it easier.

Hey you, It is ok and let me tell why, first of all my husband has been in for 12 years now only 2 left but i get that same way alot of the times and maybe he ran out of stamps and have to get some store day then there is always something wrong with the phones or tied up you will hear from him as soon possible and your right mail runs real slow especially when it gets there, i think the mail room at all institutions are on a major coffee break ya feel Me? be patient and think positive

oh, this mail thing, for a while all of us were needing maildances everyday, like from jan thru march...i think...

sometimes i would run up and down the stairs so much to check for the mail..i didn't need to go to the gym..
