I know this may sound corny, but, would anyone mind having a thread just for the SVSP friends & families? We could just search for one Thread, I know I have a hard time, going from page to page. This way, we can all come to one thread, and post updates and carpools or whatever else. And the coolest thing would be, we would all get to know each other, I would love to know others here who have loved ones in Salinas. See, I am new here and to the lingo, and I just think that one simple thread for our Prision would be helpful. Sorry is I am not making sense, it's late and I am tired:o Take care everyone

That would be great! I've been going to Salinas now for three years and it's hard to remember who is who when it comes to which prison they visit. I live right in your neighborhood too dragonfly. A friend of mine from Chino and I go up to visit at least once a month if your looking for traveling companions. Safe company (we are women of God), no drugs, alcohol, etc., etc. Boring to some I know, but not to us. We fellowship all the way up and all the way home.

We (SVSP/CTF) actually DID win the sub-forum contest a while back! I don't know what happened with that though....Where's our sub-forum, Barb? I think that we need one, things are getting pretty crazy over there.

Hey Freedom, and Jamie, how cool is this? I never imagined a week or so ago when I first came here to even meet anyone who went to the same prison, and let alone, live like 5 miles from me. Yes, I was just chat with the girl from San Diego about traveling together, I think that would be so great! And help out in the money department too, as far as gas and all. I have a Ford Exploer which is roomy, we could take it every other time as well. And watch movies in it! LOL I am so excited, my brother hasn't had a visit in 7 months now. Please keep me up to date on when you girls go.
And just another Idea we should meet anyway once a week, for support and for FACTS, it's always good to have a support team. It's just an idea, and a great way to make friends?

I have a Ford Expedition, we can get the whole lot of us in my car. I also have the TV's in my car and a Playstation, too! Let me get through the rest of the summer (I will be out of town quite a bit!) and then we can all set a date to head up North!

This is awesome! Leaving tomorrow around 4:30PM for a weekend visit. Generally go up at least once a month for a full weekend and try to sneak in a Friday night through Saturday turnaround in between. Depends on the money and vehicle situations (my Honda has over 225K miles on her, mostly from visiting trips over the last 3 years, but she's well maintained, runs like a charm and I've always got AAA if a problem comes up. My friend Judy has a truck so only two of us can travel in it and it's a stick, which I can't drive. That means she has to do all the driving on the trips where we take her vehicle).

I don't know about meeting once a week. My schedule is pretty tight as it is, but certainly once every other week. FACT's meetings are generally once every two weeks. Just haven't had anyone to show up for meetings over the last couple of months. REALLY NEED NEW MEMBERS!!

My guy ain't even in SVSP, but I hope he'll transfer someday, so I would love to see a special forum! I voted for it cause he was originally endorsed for SV, but CDC in its beautiful, infinite wisdom decided it was best to send him as far from his family as possible.. :(

Hello everyone sorry its been so long since I posted My puter crashed but I have a new one for now. I would love to take a ride with you too I live in the High desert same place as Jamie 30 mins from Ontario. I have had the pleasure of riding with freedom Anjel and some others from PTO they are all very nice ladies. So I hope that you will keep me in mind for carpooling. It sounds good to me. I can go up at the end of Sept. It is nice to hear from you girls keep up the good work. oh guess what I was up there at SV last weekend and SEAN PENN was visiting an inmate on B yard that was a trip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Look at the date on the above post. It is from 2004. The thread we have is the only one we are going to get. If you are not sure where they are talking about, feel free to ask. I will try to post what yard I am talking about.

THis thread was made in 2004 when we didn't have a CTF/SVSP forum. People posted in the main California other prison forum and you had to search for SVSP. So because we all wanted this PTO created our own slice of Heaven. And I love you CTF ladies so I like sharing a forum with you. And again like K said, if you need something post and we will all help as best we can.

I think its a good idea, that way it would narrow down the area to go to for people at CTF, because not everyone on this site is there, and cant always know the questions that you need answered, vise versa for Salinas Valley.

Just for the record, there are a few of us that are at CTF and SVSP and we carpool, share rides, expenses etc.(not to mention tears and laughter).and we have a great time doing it!!..But, whatever works for you guys..It's all good!!..Please don't take offense to it..I just wanted you all to know that...We are happy family!!

This is an old post that someone has pulled up. This thread was before Salinas/CTF got their own forum. There are lot of prisons that still don't have their own forums. So I don't think they will split the two prisons into different forums. And it would be selfish of us to want to do it. I just glad we have one at all. And glad for the wonderful people I have met both at Salinas and CTF. It more then makes up for the one person I didn't like.

Well I've Been Reading All This Comments And I Was Suprised To Know There Is Someone Near Me That Travels Up To Soledad. Well I Also Live Here In Ontario. As For, Im New At All This I Just Started And Im Inpatient Cause I Still Havent Been Able To Go See My Fiance, But Also Scared Cause I Dont Know All This Process Or How To Get Up There, So If U Could Give Me Some Info On How All This Works And The Process It Would Be Great.
