I mail 6-7 letters a week and about 3 cards. I send cards because I send him pictures in them. Seems to arrive in better condition when I mail them in cards. I print pictures on his envelopes and on the letters I type for him. I take pictures around our neighborhood, of family members, and of our "baby", a Shitzu named Toto. Hopefully this makes him feel like he is not missing out on everything in our lives our here. I know he appreciates everything we do to keep him up to date and informed. Good luck.

omq i thouqht i was the only one that wrote my man soo much.. i mail him so many letters and each letter is over 5 pages... i have colored envelopes and over 200 pens and 100 gel pens.. i go all out when i write him.. i have over 100 greeting cards i send him cards often... thanks for lettin me kno i am not the only one spoilin my man LOL ;) :cool:

i write 5-6 letters a week now but before i was writing many many letters..... I am in the same boat as tata i even have stencils and i use a translation site that helps me write him things or quotes in different language.... have him thinking his wife is a genius...

i send him so many letters,(handwritten) a week. also photocopied drawings, pictures and so much more... theres certian things he is not allowed like gel pens an colored pictures or even when i want to be crafty, like stuff i make out of construction paper so its dificult. but i manage...

I write a bit every day, but only mail the letters a couple of times a week; I don't want him to feel inundated. I send lots of pictures; all different things around here, and lots of scenery shots if I go on a hike or something I think he'd enjoy. I tell him about all the things I'm doing, so that he feels like a real part of our life. I've done a couple of little drawings for him, and send him cards when I find particularly good ones. When I make my drive from Oregon to Florida, I'm going to send him a postcard (and take pictures, of course) from each state I go through; he's already worried half to death about me doing that drive, and I want to do anything I can to alleviate that. I've kept every single one of HIS letters in notebooks; I read them over often, and sometimes I take some with me on hikes & stuff, and read them in special places; makes it feel as though he's closer to me. I'd write him every day, but I "ration" myself---really don't think my letters are all that fun or interesting, and I don't want to bore him completely to death.

hey there..... just wanted to say that i mail out great big vanilla envelopes ful of cards and letters to him... if you use photo mailers they hold alot..... they dont bend so the cards and letters stay better..... sometimes I get carried away and put so many stickers on them that i wonder if they can have room for the post mark....lol have a great day...Joni

I used to write him everyday but now I usually just write him when he writes me back. I do send out cards randomly and maybe a surprise letter once a week.

I'd say two to three letters a week. When he was in the hole I wrote daily, but now we are back to normal. He gets cards for special occasions and here and there his letters are scented.

I write my husband 7 or more a week.

I write Woody everyday, sometimes 2 times a day depending on the circumstances. If i write him early in the morning to tell him about the previous day, then during the middle of the day if something else seems interesting enough for me to tell him about, I'll write then too. But a few times, not alot, I have gotten writers block too, not having anything to say, because I write to tell him everything, I send him things off my email, if it is funny enough, i send him just wrote to say hello notes, if I don't have too much to say, and just basically make sure he gets mail, they look forward to that.

oh man i save all his letters in a biq biq binder with slip covers to prOtect the letterz and i even save the envelopes crazy uuh? you would be shocked at all the lil thinqz i save hahha.. i re-read his letters all the time.. my 6 year old daughter loves decorating his envelopes.. you kno what i do alot i get quotes online and put them on the back of the envelop and decorate it with stencils i dont like sendin the envelopes plain lol.. even though i use colores envelopes.. any other qoOd ideas? :p

im not allowed to sent stickers i tried that and they send it back :/ i send him lyrics to he loves that or autobiographies... are yOu guys allowed to use stickers like joni??

when john first got locked u i sent maybe 3 a week, now hes been in there for over 3 months and we dont write each otehr anymore. we talk on the phoen all the time and hes in a halfway house. Honestly i dont think we have anything to right about anymore! we know what each others doin adn then we stay toagyher for 10 hours on the weekend so theres nothing really much to say after i teel him everything on the phone or at visits

I write him everyday,send cards and jokes and different things I find on the internet that he is interested in.. he writes me about 4 times a week.

OH my goodness ... I send ALOT .... I mail Monday -Friday ... and it's more rare for me to mail only one letter then it is for me to mail 2 or more .... if i am just emotionally drained .... or burnt out i'll mail one .... But I usually mail at least 2 and it's not out of the ordinary if I mail 3 .... i've mailed up to six at a time before ....

I usually will mail his letter in one envelope .... and all the other fun stuff ... jokes, riddles, pillowmail, lyrics , etc ... in seperate envelopes that way he gets more mail ......

In fact I just got a letter from him last night saying he got 5 letters from me ... and that the CO's were like damn ... you get mail from the lady everyday ...

He's says he loves being The BIG MAN ON THE TIER :)

I basically write to Jeremy as often as I can, whenever I have something to tell him. Sometimes, it's a couple times a week, sometimes it's five times a week. I just love writing to him though.

I write my Hubby everyday and send him lots of cards from our baby boy, and tons of pictures. He said that he puts his favorites up in his cell.

I USED TO MAIL ABOUT TWO, BUT NOW THAT I MOVED AND I ONLY SEE JEFF ONCE A MONTH I TRY TO MAIL 4-5 A WEEK.

I send 5 a week and 1 card a week.

I send 12 letters a week, a couple of cards and one package with magazines/newspapers/books. We also talk on the phone alot. We like to stay in very close contact.

Glad to know there are some out there like me, too. Jody and I have been writing for over 2 years every single day. I have every one of his letters and believe me, the bin is stuffed. Going to have to get a new one soon. He writes as often as I do, so a day without Jody mail is like a day without sunshine.

Yeah, I write my man EVERY day. I have since he's been incarcerated (the past 10 months). It seems like I can never run out of things to say to him because we also talk on the phone every day 1-3 times.

It all depends on how my week is. If I am not to tired I send one out everyother night.

He's been in there just over a year and I have almost 6 shoe boxes stuffed with letters that I've gotten from him. My friends think its so crazy I keep them. I write him alittle everyday. I try to put something in the mail daily for him because there is no way I can forget- i miss him so much. His letters complete my days- is that crazy?

I used to send out at least one each day, but since I have become much busier and we talk on the phone I try to send out at least three a week.

my sweetie gets at least one letter every day, often more than that...oh!! except saturday and sunday...themail doesnt move so i write a letter allweekend long to mail on monday...any yeah, i send postcards in between the letters...if i find a coolpicture here on the internet i glue to some cardstock and make a post card out of it... i wish i was crafty to make and decorate my own envelopes...

I write a letter everyday but always think of something I wanted to tell or ask him. So, I keep a clipboard handy and just add my questions or comments to an "on-going" letter. When I think it's time to send that letter, I will close and start another one the minute I want to talk or tell him I love him!

:thumbsup: *** OMG, I keep his letters in a big binder and I keep the envelopes because he writes little messages on the inside flap! I am real careful how I open the letter!:p

I keep an open letter on my laptop through out the day. My daughter will stop and type in a quick hello or i will chat with him briefly just like he is here and we are still working together. I send him one letter a day because he gets cranky when i don't but my mail lady will not accept perfumed letters anymore. GRRRRR, that was the one thing he requested. I went out one night in the middle of a small tornado we were having and took pictures for him, that was fun! I also sent him a picture of the sign going into his unit: WARNING! HITCHHIKERS MAY BE ESCAPING INMATES. I blew it up and put it in our office, too. I have a weird sense of humor, what can i say! lol.

My lucky husband and I write each other every day. He ends up with at least 6 letters and I get 5 (their mail only goes out Mon-Fri.). Why is this so extraordinary???? He has been locked up in a federal prison for the past 13 years. Don't get me wrong ... when he first went in he was 18. That's far too young to do that much writing .. I only got about 3-4 then :) . Anyway, he's my best friend and has been since we were both young adults (teens) ... who else would I talk to? :o

Anytime I am thinking about him (which is always :)) or have something I want to share, I write him. I need stock in Hallmark the way I have been buying cards. Sometimes it's just a little note, or a card or pictures.

I write him long letters though. I wonder if he gets bored of them sometimes, or if he even reads them throughly...lol. He is not much of a writer, but he's getting better. :) I draw alot of cheesy things on the envelopes, or quotes and stuff....

I don't know it just makes me feel closer to him. I want him to know that I am thinking about him all the time...

7 Times a week and a few cards

I send about 5 letters a week.

I also send him paper, stamps and envelopes.

I keep every single letter he has written me also. I have a huge stack.

I send at the very least 3-4 letters a week, but I have been trying to send 5 a week if I can, so he can get a letter from me every day. :) (They don't get mail Saturdays or Sundays) I write him pretty much every day these days, the only times I don't are when I am really tired from work or something else like that, but I try my best to always make time for my hubby, even if it means staying up late and being sleepy at work the next day. ;) :sleepy: I get sweet letters and cards from him at least three times a week as well, but lately it has been more like every day. :heart: I also keep every single letter, card, and envelope from my sweetheart!

I average 3-4 letters a week. I use to write 2-3 daily(hand written). Now I go to my computer and type up what's been happening and get in the mail the next morning. It takes him a couple days to receive it.

did you know that the guards remove all of the stickers? My sister says that they tear off the stickers that she puts on the letters so that it rips the paper. Does anyone know why they do this? This is not a fair practice. Is there anything that I can do?

I have my moments when I am a writing nut and during these times I send out about 10 pieces of mail a week between letters, cards and internet info that I find that I think he would like to read. Now when I am back in classes full time, I may go down to about 5 letters a week.

I put stickers all over everything. I also put love quotes in the headers of footers of my letters. I put little doll picture with cute little sayings in the footers too.

I send so much mail inone week that I can't really count. I write him like 2-3 times a day. I send him pictures every week and cards. He said that his boys are jealous because they don't get half as much mail as he does and their girls are right in the same state as they are.

Why don't you tell him to write you more. Letters are like the main means of communication when you are apart like that. I got upset at my man for not writing and I explained to him that I needed that from him and he totally understood. Now he writes everyday even on the weekends and he sends them out on Monday. We can't talk on the phone just yet so we write constantly.

I write everday but I send them out like every couple of days, There isnt enough going on in my life for me to write everyday and I dont have the money to keep up with stamps, he writes only like once a week and its usually like 8-15 pages front and back. I use gel pens, send jokes, lots of poetry, and lyrics. He loves it.

I seem to average three to four hand written letters to my honey that seem to always be at least six pages :) He also gets postcards and cards (which I make) sent out at least a couple times a month. We are still "new" in our correspondence so it may pick up in the future.
I love to make cards for him, it gives me a creative outlet and I know that my artwork is always appreciated ;)

Thank goodness for the Hallmark store. I keep them in business. Think I should own stock. I write my baby every day. I write him when I get home from work and talk to him in his letters just as if he were here with me. I know that sounds silly but I have no friends to talk to so I talk to him thru our letters. He loves it. Will be glad though when the letters don't have to be sent anymore.:)

Long Beach? I just moved away from there! I miss it sooo much. Still in Cali, thank god, but my baby's in TX! SUX!!

I try and send Papi 3-4 letters per week but it all depends if I can catch the Mailman or not somedays I get out too late.

I Send Brian At Least One A Day Sometimes 3 Or 4 Cause I Feel Like The Other Guys Might Make Fun Of Him If He Doesn't Get Any Mail So I Make Sure Each Night I Go Down And Put It In The Post Office Mail Box, I Send Picture, Kiddie Artwork, Magazine Cut Outs, Little I Love U Notes I Even Cut Out A Bunch Of Little Red Heart So When The Guard Opens It They Fall Out They All Love It Even The Other Guys In His Pod

My man is currently "competing" with his roommate, so I've been mailing him 5-6 letters a day. My hands be hurting!!!!! LOL

I write my bf every day. There are some days I send 2-3 letters. This isn't including cards I find. He is constantly on my mind. I have recently started college and no matter what class I am in, he crosses my mind. I have sent him a map of the college campus so he knows at certain times of the day where I am. He is my life and I look so forward to the day when he gets out. Our first weekend together when he's out is going to be on a beach watching the sun go down.

I send around 15 a week, sometimes 3-4 a day, cards letters and tapes.

Mckenly was telling me that its like a competition in there. I guess they all gather in a circle for "mail call". He tells me everyday that from day one he had the most letters. I am pittiful!!! I send him at least 2 a day. I send him a list of things that i did that day and then little things about what i have to tell him and how much i love and miss him. I also have a serious obsesion with sending him lyrics to every song in the world that has even just one line that has to do with him and I. LOL. I know thats alot of letters but its the only relationship we have for right now because i'm not allowed to visit.

I write about 4 times a week but usually send them together in 1 big manilla envelope with stamped envelopes, paper, pictures, internet stuff, etc. I try to mail it off every thursday or friday. It takes him longer to get back cause it takes so long sometimes for him to get his mail. My letters are usually 5-10 pages combined. I dont have time to write more cause I work full time, go to grad school full time and have a household to run. I dont want to bombard him with too much, i like him to look forward, wondering,"am I gonna get one today?" Im sure he has a great smile when it arrives, just like I do when I find one in the mailbox from him!!!

Wait- one more thing....thats because we are in an inbetween stage. We are not together, we are getting to know each other once again and moving in that direction. Im sure that if we were officially "together" I would be writing many times a day!!!

Alot of legal stuff, alot of entertainment stuff and then no less than about 14 of those are personal letters. I write him at night in bed and at work, each gets their own envelope and stamp :lol

i send my man about 4 'novels' a week...On top of that, i mail him print outs, cards, photos and everything else!!! Things are gonna have to slow down though, because i am back at school. He understands that. :)

My best friends teases me about how much mail I send to my baby! I send out between 25 - 30 cards/letters a week. I've got the colored pencils, stickers, I cut out pictures of all kinds of stuff. I send him pictures of me and the kids bi-weekly, I want to keep him up todate on whats going on with us. I even send him pictures of the kids rooms on clean and dirty days, just little things to make him smile and for him to know that he's got mad love out here!:dance:

Usually it's between 5-8 letters a week!!! This last week it was only 3...and trust me I heard about it at visits:) OOPS!!! I try to write as much as possible...even though I get only 1 letter a week!! Hugs:p

I usually send a letter every day...and the occasional card...he hates post cards *laughs* Sometimes if I don't have time to write that day....I'll just take a picture and send that...then he knows that I am thinking about him. Sometimes I'll make him something...like a pamphlet on why he is so special or a little story I'll illustrate...

I feel so cheap. I only write twice a week. I want to write more, I started writing him every day but I don't send them out. I only send him a letter after I get one from him, and then again mid-week. I want to send him more, because I'm in love with him, but I still don't know how he feels about me and I don't want to freak him out.

I write my boyfriend at least once a day but usually closer to 2 times a day. Some days I think where did I find all this time to write long 5 and 6 page letters. But, I know it brightens his spirits and I will always do my part to keep him positive and as happy as possible.

last week's mail count from me was 10, but I send lots of little things because I know Ray likes getting a pile of envelopes each time lol

When there is no drama he gets like 6-8 letters per week. When he is getting on my nerves, or is not writing me alot I wind it down to 3 or 4. I find letter writing theraputic though.................

I send a letter EVERYDAY. Cards twice a week. I spend enough at the post office to keep it open just from me. And if he don't get a letter, I get a phone call. :o

yeah, usually they remove the stickers. I know they do in Michigan or they reject the letter. Acid can be sent via the stickers. (Acid as in the drug).

As for my Baby, he gets tons of mail, but usually two long letters a week. About 20 pages each letter, plus cards and random notes and little things I find that he might want to read or be interested in. He writes back just as much. Nice to know everyone else is just as bad. ;)

I normally send Billy a letter every day, except of course on Sunday, but I do put it in the mail every Sunday night so it'll go out on Monday.

I am so glad I decided to respond to this post because I thought I was over doing it...lol..I may write him 2to3 letters a day..It's just that is he was here I would be calling him to tell him everything that goes on if he isn't around me..or how i am feeling and also to keep him up on the times...I send him about two cards a week...My daughter send him her spelling test..I send pictures almost in all the letters...So I know that if they give them there mail when they are suppose to he has mail everyday...I asked him was he getting too much and he said "That how is suppose to be" It's made him write more..lol...
And witingis very therepeutic for me..it makes me feel closer to him..

I hit aloooooooot and thought I was going to be in the minority...but right now WE IS THE BIGGEST BUNCH!!! Yesterday I sent him 4 letters. Two in the morning and two at night. He is very faithful in writing every day. Now it is more letters than usual 4 us bcuz he just moved to quarantine from jail and we can't call or visit yet. Within the last couple months we both started writing way more!! Now I am averaging about 2 or 3 week and sometimes more :p . I think I am going to write him everyday now because I want him to be spoiled too. :rolleyes:

I write so much (it's kind of embarassing). I figure reading something is better than nothing. I change it up- cards, handwritten, typed, all that stuff. Also, there are free sites which allow you to make crossword puzzles and games to print out. You can write your own clues (ex: where did we meet?, etc) and then design the answer boxes for you. I often take my paper with me through the day and write down the time i strart to write to him- making him feel like I am sharing my day with him (he likes that). I send bright colored "why i love you" lists and things like that.. I also save the envelopes :) .. I just overly treasure every piece of him that I can have with this frustrating distance.
