I'm not exactly sure if this posting should go here or in the Florida forum...because it still has to do somewhat with education, but it's in Florida...oh well, I'll give it a shot, I hope someone can help!

Does any one know much about the church faith programs that they have inside for them? I was under the assumption that the guys were told that this was suppose to get them out the door quicker (we were also told we would be able to go to the seminars on Sundays - which take up OUR visiting time, that they would make them family days, and that the faith base dorm would get AC and this and that, but I know that is stretching it!).

Anyway, I ask this question, because my fiance is in the program, he's been inside for a year and a half, was offered this program soon after he entered his permenant camp (though he got a 5 yr sentence - with a year all ready done in county - which left his release date in '05). Well, now we have an appeal in a couple of months, the judge went over the point system/sentencing guidelines (yes, Florida needs guidelines, because they are so slow, it's like you have to draw it out for them on a map, and they still f-up all the time!) by at least one year. I just received a letter from him yesterday saying he could get out in FIVE months!! As much as I would love to believe that, I don't have trust in the justice system here at all. I was wondering if in fact once he graduates from the program, in April/May, do you really think they'd let him go free then? How much of a benefit does he have being in this program (benefit = get out sooner, there are plenty of benefits of him being in there, I can definentely see that clearly!)

I'm not getting my hopes up, I just want my baby to come home!
