Kris,

There is a new hospitality house in Tennessee Colony. It's a year or so old now. Here is some info about it:

East Texas Hospitality House
FM 2054
Tennessee Colony, Texas
They provide FREE lodging, meal, and encouragement.
It is a 17 bedroom facility.
It is central heated/cooled.
It has showers, a full kitchen, dining and living area.
For reservations call: 903/928-0116 or 903/586-5156

I have visited it and the people there are wonderful.

Kristen~ Do you have to live a certain amount of miles away to be able to stay in one of these houses? I am only 4 hours from Travis but with my chronic back pain it is a killer on me to drive that far and then sit another 2 hrs. to visit and then another 4 hrs. back! It takes me days to recover from my visits. Would of been nice to be able to rest the night before my visits. But.... been doing it for 2 years now and don't got much longer to go! Yipeeeee! Just a question I wanted to ask tho about the mile thing.

Yes! What is a Hospitality House? How do they work? I have been blessed in that each location my husband has been at has never been farther away than about 2 hours, but I can imagine what it would be like to not be able to go every weekend like I do! I would be willing to open my home to "visitors"! I have a really nice guest room...and if you like it really homey (children?) my living room sofa makes a king sized bed! p.s....I have a pool/hot tub! I realize it's risky, but if anyone loves their "someone" like I love mine...I would hate for them not to be able to visit because of the cost of accomodations, etc.

that is so nice of you!
I am not too sure about how the hospitality houses run. I have heard that the people there are always nice. I think that some of them accept any donation as a fee. Others might charge a small fee.
