Since with the fed's...we can not send packages in, I was wondering if you all send alittle something special to your loved ones.
I will send magazine subcriptions, extra cards and letters and ofcourse a MO. Sometimes if I know there is a book he wants...I will also send that.

We will not be able to visit for the holiday...and he is in "DA HOLE".....AGAIN! I am starting to believe he actually likes being there instead of in general population, lol.

I sure wish we could send a package in! Wonder if the feds ever allowed that.

I have a pic of me in a Santa hat that I sent last year and then I write a poem that is personal to us at Christmas...

And then as I posted earlier we have each written two letters (one for the 24th and one for the 25th) that cannot be opened until an agreed upon time and we will spend that time together in spirit reading each others letter...

This is how I am going to deal with it this year...

I just finished the first round of holiday cards this morning to send out - just hope that they make it in!
while a standard sized greeting card, the enveolpes are green - they are the ones that came witht he card set. i also included a small hand written note and i took a suggestion from one of the forums and did some pillow mail letters for each of them. extra postage I am sure for this round!

15 to send out today and a coule more in the next week, and then ???

i wish that i could send each of my guys magazine subscriptions, book, even a few bucks, but that is the price i pay for writing so many. they understand tho. and this is good.

i like Teb's idea of the letters - good one Teb - i will have to remember that for hopefully some future time!

well, I send a small translation book - because Eddie like to start to learn german..hehe... hope he get it. Also money....

Sabine...you mean you read thru all your old letters? Thats neat....I end up doing that a few times out of the year when I get really down and out about all this. I have some of my most precious ones I keep on top...but then I dig them all out! lol

I sent my son money so he could order art supplies, etc. I can't order and have sent directly to him because the BOP has a % mark-up for inmates. I am sending him a book directly from the book store. I talked to him yesterday and he is busy getting his order together. I wish I could be with him Christmas.

oooh, TEb dont tease us. Now I wanna wee you in the santa hat! Well, my sweetness only wants me to buy gifts for his daughter and mom. So that is what I will do. But, I did relent on some pictures he has been wanting and I will send them as a surprise.
