Can We Send Cards With Glitter? johns_4_ever 07-16-2004, 10:10 PM I have sent cards with glitter on them to John (he is in a prison in wisconsin) I have not had any problems with them going thru.. Call the prison and ask all prisons are different I have read where others have had a problem with glitter, so it would be wise to call. California Sunshine 07-18-2004, 10:44 AM When I asked the mail room at the prison in Ca. where my guy is at they said no glitter allowed so I haven't tried it.Your idea is good of sending the pictures with regular mail just to be sure he gets them and then send the glittery cards seperatly just incase. I've sent him cards with glitter on it and he has received it. ozziegirl 08-22-2004, 10:35 AM From my limited knowledge glitter and things like that are not allowed but it depends on who is doing the mail when it comes in I think. Some seem to turn a blind eye to these trivial rules and others dont. Its just a matter of luck from my reckoning. I sent a card from here in australia to an arizona jail that was shop brought but one of those cards that are handmade. It had bits of mulberry leaves in it so they rejected it. What did they think he was going to do....smoke it? lol Oh and the card was surprise surprise made in the USA. |
