Can he call you at all? I hope the mail problem sorts itself out, you sound terribly worried, and you have a reason to be as well. Perhaps he has been busy, and hasnt had a chance to write.
I hope you get some news really soon.

I hope you get your answer soon... the worrying is the worst. My usual problem has been that he hasn't gotten MY mail right away.... does he have enough envelopes and stamps?? If you haven't sent him any, he may have run out!

In reception they can't call and sometimes the mail does get behind, despite what they say. If his counselor has checked on him, I would think he must be okay. But you say his letters have been strange... how so?

Sending best wishes... :)

I am new to all this so im sorry if i sent blank reply. I am having almost the same problem except my daughter is in Dwight, Illinois. I havent heard from her since she went in on July 8th. I called and they couldnt tell me anything. I got a lettter from her old cell mate that said the guards were giving her greive about wearing a scarf on her head. they made her take her hair piece off) she was born with medical problems. I guess she must of smarted off or something and they took her to seg. What is seg? How come I cant hear from her? Im worried sick about her!! its her first time being in. they say she is in seg for 30 days! I dont know what happened or if she is okay. all my letters came back to me because i put MOM in the return address! so now she must think Im not writting her either. can someone help me?

Wow thats not even right have you tried notifying her counselor letting them know why she wears a scarf? I know it probably wont make a difference but maybe with a doctors letter also stating her history? I hope this helps you. Seems like when in prison things like that arent important to the authorities but it sure could make a difference in the inmates attitudes if shown a little understanding!
