Has anyone else heard anything about the possibility of the 3 for 1 law, or reducing the percentages of the time served. I saw a little something on the news and Mike heard some things inside. Anything firm that I can check into?

check the sun times for an article re: inmates w/ 7 mos or less on non-violent drug related offenses. it was the only thing i could dig up on this rumor. i never found the 3/1 stuff

Let's all keep our fingers crossed.

Yesterday, when I was visiting with Mike, he said that one of the counselors said that come June 1st, there may be a bill passing that would take those with 100% of their time to do, down to 85%, those with 85% to 50% and those with 50% to 35%. I haven't heard anything for sure, but let's hope. That would put MIke coming home this summer instead of 2007, he's been gone since 1997!

Update on this. I chatted with a guard, female guard who always talks way too much, while I was waiting for Mike this past week. She said that the rumors were true, there is talk about this going around, but no one will know for sure until the fiscal report comes out beginning of July. HMMMM! MAybe!
