Hospital man charged with murder

A 47-year-old man will face a Brisbane court next month charged with the murder of his wife.
Bob Rahim is recovering from stab wounds in a Brisbane hospital after an incident in which his wife, Sabira Bibi Rahim, was stabbed to death.
Mrs Rahim, 41, was found dead in a house at Rocklea in Brisbane's south on May 9.
Police who were called to the house in Elmes Street also found Rahim with stab wounds.
He was taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition and was arrested and charged at a bedside hearing.
The case was mentioned briefly in Rahim's absence in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
Magistrate Noel Nunan agreed to remand Rahim in custody to face a committal mention on August 10.
Lawyers for Rahim made no application for bail.
He is not yet required to enter a plea.
