We had a couple of friends going up for parole today so I called the automated line a minute ago. Also thought I would check to see if one of our friends who was originally scheduled a month before Brian had gotten a date yet, since he hadn't when Brian got his.
Man is it all goofed up. On one of the today's hearing guys, it's giving his last decision in 2000 but gives the correct hearing date of today, neither of today's guys have a decision on there yet. And it told me several times that Brian and the others' AIS numbers were invalid! I really think if they are saying his number is invalid then they should release him immediately. :D
I guess it's probably "processing" the new info or something but man, that line used to be so good and now it's practically worthless most of the time...

FYI it's corrected now. One of our friends was granted and one wasn't. Unfortunately the one who was granted is currently dying so now just hoping Alabama's lazy ***es will get him home before he has to die in prison...
Lysbeth I'm really sorry to hear about your friends...none of this makes any sense. I do hope he comes home soon for his sake and his family.

Hi!
I was just wondering if you could tell me what the web site address is where one can view a listing of what inmate's parole hearings are coming up? I was told there is such a site, but have not been able to locate it as yet. My husband has served over 24 yrs on a life with parole sentence and we were suspose to have a hearing (our 8th or 9th one now..I have lost count!)...this past April after his three yr set-off in 2001. We haven't heard anything as yet concerning his hearing date and have been told that the Board is about 18 months behind schedule! ??? I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks so much!

The Board of Pardons & Paroles website is here:
http://www.paroles.state.al.us/
... and then you would look under Scheduled Hearings, but they don't keep it updated very well and at this time it hasn't been updated in several weeks. Your husband will likely be notified of the hearing before it ever appears on the website. My guy was notified a couple of weeks ago and it still isn't on the website.
Also, just be forewarned... my guy was scheduled originally for February 2003 so if your husband's hearing was not to be until this year, y'all are probably in for a wait for a while... they are indeed 17-18 months behind schedule.
