Gino's mom called thanksgiving and gave us her blessing on our marriage. She sees the difference in him and that despite his situation he found happiness. It meant alot for me to hear that.
She called again Saturday night and we ended up talking for over 2 hours. It wasn't the usual nice, formal conversation. We shared about our lives and families and I feel like we hung up as real friends.
Today I got a card from her with wedding wishes and a generous check to help with our expenses for the wedding. I was so touched; I have a family now:dance:
Please pray for my trip; it's like in the high 60's here and Buffalo is bombarded with snow. I'll be there from the 4th-11th, our wedding is the 7th. I hope to get some pics if the C.O.'s are in a good mood. They pick and choose who gets pics from what I hear.
