hi, I'm E1950(Sue) and a forum leader for alabama and prison weddings. I was surfing the web one night looking for parole information and pto came up on a google search. like Lysbeth, I stayed up all night reading the posts, but the one thing that impressed me more than all of the information, was the compassion that everyone showed to each other. I would be totally insane by now if I hadn't stumbled across pto and the most wonderful man who cared enough to give inmates families the support we need by making his dream a reality. thank you fed-x for making this difficult time so much easier for all of us.
My husband, Lewis, has been incarcerated since Dec. 1993. during this incarceration, he has been to kilby, Holman, St.Clair, and finally limestone. we were not married at the time of his incarceration but we did get married at St. Clair on Aug 4th, 1995. Lewis was paroled on March 29th 2004 pending acceptance from Gerogia, but as of now we have not recieved a release date yet.
I'm alway's happy to help anyone with their questions, so please feel free to call on me anytime.

E1950,
My husband was sentenced to 30yrs. for something he did not do and everyone keeps telling me he will only serve 1/3 of his sentence if it isn't overturned. I noticed your husband has been in for 10yrs. How have you held out this long. What I mean is what keeps you going? IWe have 3 children and at times I don't think I am going to make it another do without him at home with us. As far as the release date just keep your head up,and thank God everyday that he will soon be home with you. My prayers are with you. Praise is the key to getting Gods attention. Praise Him, Praise Him, Praise Him no matter what he knows what you need even before you ask. He will give you the strength to make it because his strength is made perfect in our weakness.
Thank for listening,
Roxanne

I have the same question. How do you do it? I know God gives me strength but sometimes the lonliness gets overwhelming. My husband and I have been married since I was 15 and he was 18.We have been married 20 years in Dec. He's all I have ever known. It is hard to imagine even one day without him.I just want him home. Pray for us!!
