I have not posted a thread in some time. Things have improved. If I did not have visits with my husband I would be losing my mind. I saw him on Tuesday. He mentioned all the letters he had sent out....now days later not a one of them has arrived. Its been an awful week. I did not get a much needed job that would have allowed me to move closer to him. I am real upset about the mail. Once something has been missing for too many days I probably will not ever get it. Now I am wondering what "hater" in the mailroom is throwing out his mail to me. Have you ever noticed this- my mail to him gets delayed many days longer than is necessary. But his mail to me may never get home, or "goes missing". How convenient !!!*%^&*!@#!!!! Its been a long week. I guess with the history we have I am upset wondering what is it this time????? I know he sent the letters. But who in that prison is so worried about him writing his wife???? They know we have been doing better....cause they know everything. Thanks for letting me vent. Its just been a long week. I am tired. Not getting the job I needed...not getting my mail is not helping.


Has this happened to any of you about the mail? Its not our mail they are concerned with. Its the inmate mail they attempt to prevent from going out.

It takes my boyfriend 2 weeks to get his mail and he is only 2 hours away from me. When he was in the county jail they sent back a few letters labeling it - inappropriate content. I would read and reread the letters and nothing would be wrong with them at all. I realized after the third one that the envelopes weren't even ever opened. They just didn't feel like doing there jobs. It ticked me off so bad, but of course nothing was done about it. I told myself I just had to get used to being dissappointed. That is such a negative comment, but when it comes to the prison system you truely do have to get used to being dissappointed. I have submitted 3 visitors forms since April and some how they always lose them. It is so irritating, but I feel for you and I know what your going through. Just be strong.

Flecky, Thank you & good to hear from you. It seems as if they (prisons) & jails do all they can to ruin what the inmates do have. And hey if they run us off in the process they can do even less. Sad but true..... :(

Jeffsprincess, Thanks Girl!!!! Long time no see....(((HUGS back @ you))). Well I can relate on the job...I will do a little job dance for the two of us. Things did settle down...and I am happy for that :) . I am glad he told me mail was coming. Otherwise I would be thinking something was wrong. Well thanks again. One more chance for mail tomorrow...we'll see what happens. :) ;)

we are at their mercy, and it pisses me off.
i really do pray EVERY NIGHT for the workers that hold our happiness in their hands -literally- would just ... for once ... be kind.
but it never happens. i just remind myself that karma is a BITCH!!

this is going to sound SO cruel of me, so please forgive me in advance as i REALLY am NOT a mean person...
there is this ONE co in particular who is always so mean to all the ladies at visit. shes even mean to little old ladies. she will tell you that your hair is ugly, that your lipstick makes your teeth look yellow, that your eye shadow makes you look like a slut ... yeah, like any of us care what she thinks. she need to learn how to use soap and water...she smells like a dirty bathroom!!!
so ANYWAY, last visit when i went, i couldnt see her face, but i noticed that she wasnt being her usual nasty self...i was shocked!!!
well when i got closer to her, i could see that something had happened to her face. turns out that .....

Thanks Members, ladies!!!! Kerrilyn, yes we are at their mercy. I feel ya on that....I would like them to be kind but not too nice. Then you start wondering... and yes I do believe in KARMA. So I know some of his sneaky little friends will catch it someday. But I do know he is at fault if I can't trust. I just want some karma on those who knew full well that him keeping "them" around was hurting me very much!!! What a story!! LOL!! Thanks goodness we don't have any mean CO's like that around. They are nice and courteous. Just sometimes a little nosy.....of course they hear all the fights, drama, etc in the visitation room.

Jfr2005, yes I see you are in Texas. Me too. And Texas is one, if not the worse, prison system in the US. You know what really gets me is they sure expect us to comply with the rules...and I have no problem with that. BUT they have to go by their OWN rules. Which we know is a joke!

well, yes absolultely, the mail has been delayed, or sent back, one time his was sent back to hiim, saying no such occupant (me) i have lived here for almost 2 years, and all his mail comes through to me...so i don't know who did that one...also, there was one month in january where i did not receive mail for 19 days, he swears he sent mail...that was an unbearable month....

Kerrilyn....that is like a tale from the dark or something...unbelievable...

AWWW I'm so sorry that you did not get that job but there are others out there don't give up keep on looking. As for the mail you know that there was no mail on Monday so that could be why? Maybe!!! The mail well that's a whole other topic. LOL I don't know why they mess with us and our mail, don't they know how crazy we are about our letters? Hey Rosita, A big hug for you. I totally can relate to the job frustration. I have had the worst luck, and I know Jeremy is worried about me. I hope you will find something very soon, and closer to your hubby, and I really hope you will get a letter very soon. Sometimes mail is really slow and there can be delays. But I really hope nobody is screwing with his letters to you.

I don't have much to say about that one but my prayer are with you. i hope things improve for you both.the mail is an awful thing in these prisons. itstakes my man 3 days to get a letter from me. even 2 days but that only happend 3 times.

Because it worked!!!! All my outstanding mail showed up on Saturday!!! I
got three letters. That is all of them and I am all caught up for now.... I am
wondering what the heck is up. Only one of them had been inspected & was
taped up. That's what they do to my mail to him. No matter what day I mail
it he gets it all at one time. Also I have noticed if I mail letters from my city
they are delayed so much longer. I have a theory about that. I believe the
local DA is intercepting my mail. I cannot prove it. But the post office &
even the postal inspector will not give me an answer. So I mail his letters
from the town he is in (when I visit) and he usually gets them right away.

Now his mail to me is being messed with. So....I can only wonder who in that
prison is so concerned what he says to me......but I hope the mail gods do
get them! Louis'sgirl that was hilarious!!!!!!

things have improved. What a relief! I am happy to finally get his mail. And
for now....all is settled down. He says he wants to be a good husband. I
pray the two of you are OK too. Thanks. I missed you too!!!!!!

The mail might just be backed up in the mail room because Monday was a holiday,.. also, most jails only have one or two people working in the mail room at a time. It's possible that the jail he's at is just under-staffed and it's taking everyone awhile to get thier mail. :shrug: Just an idea.... I'm still waiting for a letter too...... Hope you get mail tomorrow. Hugs...:grouphug:
