Ok guys..here's one for ya....Skip did get that job at the county, and he's signed on for TDCJ time, so what he's serving now counts toward his time.
Here's the news....they have put him on administrative hold in the county for 6 months. He is a full blown trustee now, and he will definitely be in county for 6 months. He asked if this would affect his parole, the deputy said no. MY QUESTION IS: will they still move him to a TDCJ unit for a basic turn around once he's done with county? Can he actually parole out of county without ever actually entering the TDCJ system?
This is really good news, as he is in a nice facility with private bathrooms/showers. He's not in a cell, he's in a dorm-like setting with 46 other men. He leaves the jail every day for work, and they state they are keeping him FOR THE WORK he's doing.
Any input here would be great....i'm looking for anyone else who might have encountered this. I don't want to get my hopes up, but we're thinking this is a good sign!
