krisintx 12-01-2002, 09:26 PM Let's see, I dug up some information of the property list for TDCJ. If any of you are wondering where i got this information, I got it from just being with my husband for 10 years and going to a conference held by TDCJ. I hope this information is interesting to you all!

SHERRON 12-02-2002, 12:49 AM THANKS FOR THE INFO------------SHERRON
DonnaH 12-02-2002, 04:09 PM Toilet paper was rationed in Plainview Texas. They only got so much at a time. My husband use to joke I wouldnt have to load up on TP hes used to using a square at a time...
softheart 12-02-2002, 05:10 PM In most prisons in texas TP is only given out at one roll a week. You can't even buy it from the store.
In Mississippi where Tracy was he got one roll every two weeks. In fact his use to trade his salt for Tp to another inmate. I know for a while on Floridia they were having a problem getting the guards to pass out TP to the inmates. So a group there started a campain and every one sent a roll of TP to Jeb(gov) and requested it to go to the prisoners. Of course he donated it to charity's saying DOC wasn't short on TP. They were just to lazy to pass it out, my words not theirs.

Jerry'sMom 12-02-2002, 09:52 PM Thanks. I just printed a copy out a copy for my son who is still in county jail and has been asking some of these questions. I'll send it to him. Also the commissary list you put out the other day is also great but it's one single list in one column and is ten pages. I was wondering if anyone knows of a way that I can put like 3 columns on one page? That would be neat if there was a cut and paste way to do it.
softheart 12-02-2002, 10:46 PM Toe is a computer wizard I am sure he can help you. I can type on the computer and that is about it. That is until my daughter unplugs my keyboard.

cchilds3862 12-02-2002, 11:09 PM What about contact solution? I am waiting for someone to email me back from the TDCJ website concerning this issue. It's been almost ten days, and I haven't heard anything yet. KC need to soak his contacts. They have been on his eyes since October. PEACE!!
krisintx 12-03-2002, 12:10 AM jerry's mom: let me see what i can do for you. do you have word or works? i will email it to you unless toe beats me to it hehe. i am glad it has helped you and your son! if there is anything i can ever do for you please just let me know.
cyndie: i can't believe that! Actually yes i can because they are really slow about this stuff. i hope it all gets resolved soon!
cchilds3862 12-03-2002, 08:47 PM We called the Clemens Unit today and they told me that the inmates are not allowed to wear contacts. I asked if I could get an eyeglass prescription filled for KC and mail them to the unit. They told me the glasses have to be TDC issue, and they will see to it that KC get an eye exam. They couldn't tell me how long that will take. Does anyone know? PEACE!
krisintx 12-03-2002, 09:17 PM cyndie,
i am not sure really how long it will take but i have seen the glasses. they are not the best looking things in the world but at least he will be able to see.:)
cchilds3862 12-04-2002, 01:11 PM Kristen-my son will probably refused to wear them if they look too bad. I guess that will be his choice. Hopefully, he will make the right choice. Thanks for your response! PEACE!
