Killed 3 people, got 30 years and will appeal again!

It was May 6 2003. A man was selling a car in newspaper. A guy trying to buy a car went with his 2 friends to meet with seller, to see a car and had money with him. All 4 of them drove on a test drive. He took them in woods and try to rob them. They had do go out of the car. He shoot one man took the money and drove away. One of 2 survivers call the police and while telling them where they are and what happened the man came back and shoot them too.
He was sentencet 3 times; for the first time he got 30 years for each, so he was sentenced for 90 years.
For the third time he was sentenced this week for 30 years in jail for all 3 victims.
But he can and he will appeal again.

Amy, I think here in Finland he would have got "life in prison" which means about 12 years... :rolleyes:

Umm.. hard to say, everytime when here happens something like that we discuss if we should have harder ppunishments but in last 30 years our crime rates have not increased even our sentences are shorter. I have to add that our prisons are nothing like for exemple american ones, those are like "schools" or "ranches"... here's a link to interesting article, I have seen it here before but everybody may not so here it is:

Interesting reeding Susan! It seems that going to prison in Finland isn´t a bad thing.
Some people would have a better life in there that they could have on the outside.
I meant those people who are poor or those who don´t know how to survive everyday life or something like that.......
