Aruba is a small island in the Netherlands Antiilies. It lies 15 miles from Venezuelan coast, 12 degrees, 24 minutes north of the equators. It is 19.6 miles long, six miles in width at its widest point, and contains 70.9 square miles of rocky hills and magnificent white sand beaches, surrounded by the Caribbean Sea...The climate is considered one of the finest in the Caribbean, because , though it's rainfall is scant, the days are always pleasantly cooled by northeast trade winds. Tropical diseases are practically unknown in Aruba becasue of the climate and the winds. The average yearly temperature is 82 degrees. The coolest months are January and February and the warnest are August and September. Rain usually falls in October thru December and its less than 20 inches The water is light blue and warm. Great Deep Sea fishing. Blue marlin and the white marlin, Tuna, yellow tail, etc. If you like go skin diving this is the place clear water filled with many different fish, coral reefs and sunken ship around the island. Watersking is great because the water is very calm, no waves. Sailing is also happening.
If your not a water person. Aruba has a golfcourse. This is very different than what we have in the states. Because the greens are on the white sand.Scoccer, baseball,basketball and volleyball are a very popular. There is four casino on the island and the night light is fast. We stay at the Div, Div Hotel. This Hotel has no gambling. It's one of the first hotel build. Small but very nice. Many different resturant and supper clubs. You can get a package deal. Airfare and hotel. Most hotels include breakfast. This island is a wonderful place to have a honeymoon or just to go and enjoy each other...I went to Aruba with a girlfriend from New york about five years ago. It was one of my best trips yet....I will return one....Minnie:cool:
