View Full Version : Finally got a date
Lysbeth 07-04-2004, 09:31 AM Yep, you're reading my siggy right... we finally got a parole hearing date last week of August 23rd, after eighteen months of waiting.
Sorry if my lack of enthusiasm shows... we're pretty certain we're destined to get denied with reset again due to the January disciplinary. And things have just not been good, period... I wish I could say more but I'll have to save it for later and post-hearing. Best I can say at the moment is we're hanging in there...

Lysbeth that is good news and I know you have been waiting a long time to hear this.
With the overcrowding maybe they will be a little more forgiving. My prayers are with you both and hang in there...

DeniseJ 07-06-2004, 03:41 PM oh heck...try to think positive anyway...you know as well as i do there is no way to perdict what the parole board will do!!! just when you think you've got it figured out...poof...they do something else....

Lysbeth 07-06-2004, 10:47 PM You're right about that Denise... here's another quandary, his longtime cell partner was scheduled for the month before him (January 2003) and still hasn't gotten a date yet. I don't think there's any rhyme or reason to it at all anymore...
E1950 07-07-2004, 05:13 AM Lysbeth, it's been 7 months since he got that disciplinary so it should not affect his parole hearing. Lewis said that they very well could set parole pending a sap program.he said to tell Brian that he was praying for him.
standing at pto position for you and Brian. hang in there lady.
((((hugs))))

DeniseJ 07-07-2004, 08:12 AM lynn..I called the board yesterday because of the same thing...some not getting dates while others are...what i was told was that...the one board that has always been there is working on things like robery, theif and drug case while the second board are doing the "more violent" case. The second board (the one with the more violent cases) are running faster than the orginal board...
that MIGHT be why some are coming up quicker...who knows..

Care9 07-07-2004, 02:30 PM Lynn, Let me be among those who are sending positive thoughts and energies to you as you prepare for the hearing. I agree, by the time the hearing actually gets here, it will have been 8 months or so since the disciplinary so hopefully it won't work against him. I know this has been a nightmare for you guys; here's to Alabama making a GOOD decision and let him come home.
