Hello Everyone,

I need to know if anyone has any information regarding visiting Susanville. I live in the bay area and need to know if they allow longer visits if you live quite a distance from the prison also.

no they don't,what prison ?high desert.or cali correctional? visiting if there still in reception is only one hour behind glass....other wise its usally 8:30 to 2:30sat and sunday. you will need an appt. if there in reception.. debi

ZX's -- I to live in the Bay Area and visit my husband at High Dessert and no they do not make allowances for those who travel from long distances. I make the drive in about 6 hours. But I have made it in 5 hours and 15 minutes -- but that was only because I was flying like a bat out of hell.
I have been in the visiting room when it gets so busy that there is no more room for chairs and tables. So then they start put familes along the wall in chairs.
I have met some familes that drive 12-15 hours to visit loved ones. So to me my drive may seen long -- but it really isn't. If you have any other questions -- ask away!!

When my Son was there 9 months ago they allowed If I remember correctly Sat and Sun visits from 8:00 To 2:30 pm and I think on Friday evening to Call the visiting at susanville they will tell you but I dont think you get extra time though

my friend is in susanville but i don't know what the name of the prison is. can anyone help me out ??

Cachetes, what is the post office box that u send his mail to?? High Desert Post Office Box is 3030. And I am not sure what the other one is.
