Hello everyone I am new to this, so all the help on info will be well appreciated.
My man just got sentenced to seven years and three months in a california prison....what prison...I don't know yet, but I know he will be going to Delano here shortly.....can anyone tell me about visitation in Delano and how long he will there.

I went thru the Delano experience this year, if you do a search here in the California forum for "Delano" or "North Kern" you should find lots of detailed info about Delano. Or PM me!

As long as he doesn't have any paperwork written on him they try to get inmates through reception in 3-4 months. Any write ups will slow that down. Don't know about visiting, sorry.

I also wanted to welcome you my husband was in Delano for 1 1/2 months and he was send to Jamestowns from there. he was to be at Jamestown only for maybe 7 month but he was there for a year and half. But he is now is Fire Camp and you I believe you are not able to visit there until he is moved to the prison he is going to than you put in your paperwork for visiting which sometime takes two weeks to two month it's up to the prison. but best of luck and again welcome.

HI welcome to PTO, my husband went through Delano 7 months ago, I didnt visit him this time, but I did a few years ago, you have to be approved to visit and then if they are in reception you get to visit behind glass for 1 hour. While he is in reception there is no phone calls..Once he gets to where he is going he will be able to call you and tell you where they sent him..
You will get the hang of all of this real soon!!! Just hang tough and stay strong...:)
