How do I find out my husbands release date? I asked him and he doesn't know either? Do I have to wait till he gets out of reception?:confused:

He'll find out when he meets with his counsoler and gets his transfer assignment. Usually minimum mean time sentence, minus county credits, bridgeing program credits = out time.

Does anyone know if a Counselor can give a family member a release date?

It's unusual, I've always heard that the inmate is told directly and then it's up to them to inform family. If you have contact with his counselor it never hurts to ask. California is sticky on disclosure of release dates.

Thanks, unfortunately my brother doesn't see his counselor again until February, so he doesnt know how m uch time he is going to get back for not getting any write ups for a year..or whatever, i really dont understand how all of that works. But thanks again!!
