The new email system that I have been touting to many of you is now available! This system, named HiveMail, is very similar to Yahoo mail & Hotmail.com’s systems, with the EXCEPTION of the SPAM & advertisements you experience with their systems.
You can use external POP3 accounts to send & receive messages, send and receive attachments, and much more.

Some of this systems key features are listed below:

• email account: yourname@prisontalk.com
• Check your email online from anywhere, or via your E-Mail Client/Home PC
• Powerful WYSIWYG editor. (IE only)
• Unlimited messages.
• Ability to create or remove custom message folders.
• Fully supports the MIME email format and HTML messages.
• Ability to send attachments with outgoing messages.
• Integrated address book with unlimited contacts.
• Save outgoing messages and send them later.
• Powerful message rules and spam filtering system.
• Advanced user interface, including context menus and intuitive message selection. (IE only)
• Sort messages based on several terms, including date, subject, sender, importance and more.
• Strong security measures to assure your users privacy.
• Special log-in persistence that allows you to resume actions after being logged out.
• Users can add external POP3 accounts and receive messages from them directly to HiveMail.
• Control which columns show up when viewing the message list.
• Search messages using a powerful search engine.
• Optional sound when new mail arrives.
• Personal signatures.
• Flag messages.
• And more!

At this moment, Prison Talk Online does not hold a license for Hivemail, so we are unable to add it to our community. The cost of a supported license is higher than I first anticipated, $180.00 plus installation, but this is still relatively inexpensive for this type of program/script. What I am asking for is that anyone who has an interest in seeing us add this program to PrisonTalk.com makes a small donation to assist me in purchasing it.
My personal finances are pretty well tapped out but I will dig up $50.00 to put towards this new high-end email system for our community. If you have any spare “change” available and would like to help us purchase this system, we would very much appreciate anything you would like to donate.
Anyone who assists PTO in our purchase of this new program will be given much more email attachment space than regular members. Donating members will also be listed permanently in our (soon to open) contributors page as well as next to your name in the forums. Contributing members at PTO will also be offered free space to host personal web pages on our dedicated server. (I will make a full list available in the very near future)

If you are would like to donate to the HiveMail licensing fund, we can accept donations by Credit Card (via PayPal), PayPal transfers, checks, money orders, etc.
At the bottom of most pages on PrisonTalk.com there is a “PayPal Donate” box that you can click on and will take you to our donations page.
If you would prefer to send a donation by mail, please send it to the following and make it payable to Prison Talk Online.

Prison Talk Online - Donation
P.O. Box 10616
College Station, TX. 77842

*When sending a donation, (especially via PayPal) please email me and let me know that you have done so, your account name & email address that you used to donate, so that I may keep up with who has contributed to the community.

Thanks for your time & assistance in making Prison Talk Online the Internet’s Number One Prisoner & Family support community.

Thanks to everyone that is helping. Even small donations add up and are getting us closer to the mark! :)

For those of you using paypal to made a donation, I believe there is an additional comments area available in this process. Please list your PTO members name, or at least the email account that you registered with so I can make sure credit is given.

Thanks again,
David
