:clap:OMG, I've got great news...my son went up for his review the other day and today he is being moved to Camden Work release. It's about a 5 hour drive but hey it's WORK RELEASE!!! It's one step before coming home!!!
We are sooo excited! Can anyone here give me any info on this place??? Anything will be appreciated... :yay:

congrads....i'm so very happy for you and him both!!!! but i don't know a thing about the place, but i'm sure its a far better place than were he is!!

Hey, I don't know anything about that place...I just wanted to say "CONGRATS!!!!!" You're right...it's one step closer to being home...and like Denise said, It HAS to be better than where he's at now...ya know?

Thanks Denise and Selena. We are really excited about the move just a little worried at what kind of place it is. I've never heard of it either. Anyway they wasn't completely sure that's where him and another guy was being sent. Someone supposedly did some snooping and came back and told them that is where they was sending them. Guess I will have to wait on that phone call to be sure. Will let you know when he calls, I'm hoping it will show Decatur Work Release on caller id.
That's where the classification officer told him he would be going if approved. He was also informed after 90 days he could put in a request for transfer closer to home.
Keep your fingers crossed for us...

He did actually go to Camden work release and he's loving it. I posted what he said when they came to get him but I will say it again here. He told me Mom I knew I was going somewhere good when they came to get me and didn't shackle my hands and feet...it broke my heart. He is currently...get this...lol working at the ADOC training academy...but he really likes where he is and he's full of hope. We haven't visited yet but I will let everyone know how this place is so if anyone else goes there you will know a little about the place...thanks guys for the kind words it truly is a blessing for us.

My husband is currently in Camden. I have been there for a visit. It is a small place way out in the country. There isn't much around, but is a rather laid back setting. There are no fences or what you would normally think of as a prison. My husband is currently on work release & not sure when he will be released. He goes before the parole board in July 07.
